[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

Sarafina stepped beside Kopa, "Everything comes with time Kopa...don't worry." she said softly nuzzling him. She looked to the cubs, "Run along and play." she said ushering them away from their parents. She followed close behind them and found a small grassy hill for them to play on.

Dyanna chased after Chaka, "Tag your it!" she giggled and ran down the grassy hill. Going too fast and losing control of her footing she slipped and tumbled down the hill instead. When she reached the bottom she stepped around dizzily and fell back over laughing.

Nala watched Kopa and smiled, when Sarafina took the cubs away Nala turned back to Simba. "Kopa is smart Simba, he'll learn. But hes very wise for his age..." she said with a smirk. She nuzzled Simba's mane and watched the cubs chase each other from afar.


Monstro watched the lioness train and he got hungry himself, he stepped down from his rock and searched the outlands for food. The barren lands barely had any food left, so he stalked the border of the Pride lands. Seeing no one in sight Monstro padded across the border and took a kill of his own. A fat warthog, he brought the kill back to the training lioness. Taking a piece for himself he ate and sat back down a few ideas catching his mind.

Simba smiled. "You know, Nala, I remember when I had to kill a mouse for the first time. I didn't like it either," he said, recalling the memory. "If I recall correctly, you and Vitani didn't like it either," he added.

Nala nodded in agreement, "That mouse was disgusting..." she said remembering the humiliating crunch all to well. She stuck out her tongue and laughed with Simba. "Now look at us, we kill with great skill and don't even think twice about it." she added.

Simba smiled at his mate and then turned to Kopa. "You see, Kopa? Every hunter has to experience something he or she does not like in order to learn how to beat it. You have done exceedingly well," he said proudly.

Kopa smiled softly. "Thanks, Dad," he said sincerely.

Simba ruffled Kopa's head tuft and smiled. "You are welcome. Now, run along and go play," he said.

"Shh!" hissed Kovu, staying as low to the ground as possible. He made his jump, pushing on a tree branch with his claws to go higher. The kingfisher noticed him, but just as it was a out to fly away, he snagged it with his claws. It came down to earth, bleeding and crying out.

Regina snarled, wanting to lash out at Zira, but controlled herself. "Hopefully, your plan works," she said.
