The Great Plague

"Name's Jasiri," jasiri answered. "Mhuni and I are on our way to the Pridelands... With any hope, the mountains'll be kind and give us safe passage."

Laana slowly awoke, streaching and wakind for the day. She went out on pride rock. The land was sick... everyone was hungery... something had to be done.
(Isn't Kovu already IN the Pridelands...? *Confuzuled*)

While he was gazing the mountains, he heard someting from the cave. He turned his face left and he cast a sidelong glance for seeing what this was. It was just Jato. After that he made sure of what was this voice, he turned his face towards the mountain again. Jato didn't greet him and Simba felt Jato isn't fond of him and Simba have known that they will fight for throne one day.

Kidogo looked up at the lioness and tilted his head to the side in confusion. "The...Pridelands?" he asked. He had never heard of these 'Pridelands' before but whether he should've heard of it already was completely unknown to him. Kidogo had never travelled this way before, so maybe this was the reason. "What's the Pridelands?"

Nala stretched happily, opening her bright eyes. Bright sunlight peeked into the den, and she sat up, peering around for Simba. Nala yawned and spotted him standing regally at the edge of Pride Rock. Nala felt love for her mate gush inside her and she daintly padded forwards. As she emerged, the sunlight warmed her fur. She slid over to Simba, brushing her pale pelt against his brighter one. "Good morning." She purred gently, gazing out at the savannah below.

Jioni fell for the third time since the snowfall. He was fed up with the powdery white stuff. He snarled at it, only to get a mouthful of frozen water as a branch dropped its load. Jioni nearly roared in frustration. He sat down, ignoring the chills, and started to calm. Feeling better, he stood back up to continue his traveling. As he did, he heard lions in the distance. His curiosity overcame his shyness, and he ambled towards the noise.

Jasiri's eyes widened. "You've never heard of it?"

Simba just peered towards the mountains, but when Nala came next to him, he turned his face from mountains towards Nala immediately. "Good morning, dear" He greeted her as he nuzzled Nala. "How are you today on this moring?" He asked with a slow voice as he smiled at her and looked into Nala's beautiful blue eyes which glittered so beautifully as the sunlight lit them.

Nala smiled back. "I am just fine." She replied. Her tail wound around Simba's, and her eyes closed in happiness for a moment. This was how it always should be. "I've wondered wha'ts over there as well." Her eyes had opened and found the distant peaks. She truly did, she even had the idea that there may be lions living in the mountains. She could see the snowcapped tops, nearly hidden with clouds, and the gray and brown sides that faded to golden as they dropped height. Nala glanced back at the sound of paws, but it was only a few lionesses climbing down Pride Rock. She returned her gaze to the mountains, noticing Simba's eyes drawn there too.

"I am glad to you are fine" He said as he smiled at his beautiful wife when Nala's tail wound around him. Then he turned his gaze towards the mountains again. "Today morning, as I sat here, the wind started to move towards the mountains. I think it means something" He paused for a moment before he continued. "But I don't know what...Maybe, my dad would like to say something" He wondered then he looked towards Nala. "What do you think about it?" He asked her.

Nala considered his words. "It may mean something...." She pondered, staring at the sky. "Mufasa could be trying to talk with you." She meowed, really not to sure. "The mountains...I wonder what it symbolizies, if anything." Her ears perked, catching the breeze. It seemed to pull her towards the distant peaks. "It is very coincidental." She flexed her toes, feeling the warm rock underneath. "If anything...almost purposeful."

Kidogo glanced up at Jasiri and then down at the snow. He started making random lines in the snow with his claw. "No, I haven't heard of it. never needed to hear about it. Until now." Kidogo admitted, staring back up at Jasiri.
