According to my mother, Scar was disgusted with him from birth and so Zira allowed him to choose a lioness to be a surrogate to bear a healthy heir. Scar chose my mother, and made advances to her, asking her to bear the new cub. My mother was furious and struck him across the face. This is what caused her to leave the Pridelands to find help," he explained.

Vitani sighed, "Lucky she did." otherwise Kopa would probably not be there.
