Hamet followed along. "And who was Zira?" he asked.

Saba said, "Zira was Scar's mate." she was quiet for a moment, "And my grandmother from my mother's side." she said, "She had a cub with Scar but my mother was fathered by another lion after my grandfather re-took the throne." Ophelia looked confused, "But... If Zira was an enemy of this place, how come her daughter is the queen?" Saba smiled, "Well, my mother ran away from Zira's pride and came here. She and my father fell in love." Ophelia also smiled, "That's so romantic!"

"Did Zira ever try to get her daughter back?" Hamet asked, trying to picture the scene.

Saba said, "She never told me about that, but I guess she did." Ophelia smiled and said, "Well, what's really romantic was that your parents met by complete coincidence. You don't know when the love of your life is going to show up." Saba blushed and looked forward so that neither of the two that were walking behind her could see it.

"Whatever happened to Zira anyway?" Hamet continued, hoping that he wasn't annoying Saba.

Saba said, "Zira gathered her followers one day and they attacked this pride. My parents managed to convince everybody to stop fighting beside Zira. My grandfather had no choice but to kill her."

"She sounds thoroughly evil. Your grandfather was right to put an end to the threat," Hamet said. "I wish I could have been there to see the battle," he added.

Saba looked around at him, "Why? What's so interesting in pointless bloodshed?" she looked at him for a moment and then kept walking. Ophelia said nothing.

"I simply mean that it was tragic that your grandfather had to kill his own aunt, but it was Zira's fault that it happened," Hamet replied. "I don't like bloodshed either," he stated.

Saba sighed, "I'm sorry, I've misunderstood what you meant." she kept walking silently.
