It was rather obvious to Frost that most any effort on his part would be wasted. Still, it would do more than raise eyebrows if he was found to have been present without lifting a finger to help any of his peers.
With that in mind, when the chaos began, the young lion simply stood up and moved forward. Physically, he was imposing, and so he didn't need to do much more than to simply be a presence on the savannah-turned-battlefield in order to seriously affect the outcome of events. He simply stood there and bared his teeth, keeping the herd from passing him or even getting close--and this created several opportunities which were rapidly exploited.
In moments, several gazelle lay dead and firmly within the paws of their killers. The scent of blood was strong in the air, but Frost had long ago suppressed the instinct that drove him to eat whenever he could. He felt no need to feed, even as he watched the rest of the lions present begin their meals. But perhaps he could learn something useful by being around them for a while--after all, he had no other pressing desires at the moment, so why not just take the opportunity to show his face?
Frost moved forward some moments after the herds had moved away. He made a note of their position and velocity, just in case the knowledge might serve him later, and then he made his way to the group of felines in front of him. He stayed close enough that it was clear that he was part of the group, so to speak, but he wasn't so close to any individual that he could be interpreted as being interested in stealing a meal.
