[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

Kopa was the first up. His ear twitched, ad he yawned, before rising to his paws and stretching like a housecat. "Morning Dad!" he greeted before turning to Chaka and Kiara. "Wake up!" he whined.

Kiara groaned. "Kopa!" She growled, opening one eye to glare at him. Turning her body, she shut her eye again and snuggled to a comfy spot. Her eye again open as she noticed the sunny day outside. "OHH SUN!" She burst out of her comfy spot and ran out of the den and into the warm sun shine.

Simba chuckled as he looked at Kopa and Kiara. "Good morning, you two," he said.

Nala slowly stretched her lean body forward and chuckled as Kiara ran outside the den into the warm sunshine. She smiled and nuzzled Simba's mane, "Good morning." she whispered softly licking his cheek as she stepped by. Nala looked to Kopa and Kiara, "Wake up Chaka." she said with a smile. Feeling the sunshine warm her pelt, she inhaled the fresh breeze. Her bright blue eyes flickered in the sunlight and she looked to her mother stepping from the den.

Sarafina stretched in the sunshine, "Well Nala, lets take the family down to the gazelle and go get some breakfast." she said with a smile. She looked to Dyanna and licked her cheek and head cleaning her up. "Morning dear." she cooed to the cub.

Dyanna padded out of the den and yawned rubbing the sleep from her eyes, "Morning Fina." she said with a smile. She left Sarafina lick her and she sat next to her side and listened to her speak. "I can track! I'm good at that.." she said with a grin. She finally had a chance to prove herself to her new Pride and she circled around Sarafina excited.

Simba walked over to Nala. "Good morning," he said, licking her face after he finished speaking. He sighed. "I had a dream last night, about our cubs' future," he informed her.

"We don't help with the hunting until we're older," Kopa explained. "Dad's worried about us getting trampled or hurt." He dashed off towards the front and set the pace at an easy jog. He grinned mischievously. "Last one there's rotten meat!" he called behind him, suddenly sprinting in the direction of the field.

Chaka had stayed in the den with a paw over his eyes as almost everyone told him to get up. He wasn't in the mood for another big day. But, as any cub would know, he couldn't lay their pretending. Groaning, Chaka got up and stretched his paws, extending his claws a little. "I'm up guys," Chaka said soberly. Then he ran outside into the warm breeze and went to his parents. "Morning Mom, morning Father," he chirped.

He joined his brother and sister at the slope of Priderock. He laughed after hearing Kopa's words of how worried their father was. "Hey, don't worry about that, we can still follow some mole hog." Then he gave a mischevious look and glanced back at Simba. Pacing behind Kopa he suddenly burst into a dash that whooped his older brother. "Definately not me!" he joked looking back. Then they reached a small clearing in the tall grass that was very close to the herd.

Kopa willed his paws to move faster as he overtook Chaka by just a bit. "Eat my dust!" he cried. He skidded to a stop, almost burning his paws with the friction. "Aw, tie," he complained.

"Good morning, Monstro," Zira muttered, stretching, "Sleep good?" She nodded. "Same here. Come on, outlanders, time to... Exercise!" Normally Zira wasn't an early bird, but today was a good day. She wasn't exactly sure why.
"Oh, Mom, do I have to?" moaned Kovu. Normally he was an early bird, but today was a bad day. He wasn't really sure why, he just knew.

Nala padded beside Simba and nuzzled his mane as she watched the boys run around, "Be careful you two." she scolded softly.


Sarafina brought up the rear of the group and had the cubs infront of her, she nuzzled Dyanna as she groggily walked. "Now we get some breakfast and enjoy some sun. Did you sleep good?" she asked her softly green eyes looking down.

Dyanna nodded, "Yes Fina. I did." she whispered. She then padded up beside Kiara, "Morning Kiara! What do you want to do today?" she said with a big smile. She watched Chaka and Kopa race past her and she laughed as they tied, "Your both fast!" she called out stepping behind them.


Monstro nuzzled Zira and smiled, "Morning. Come on Kovu, do as your mother says." he said in a soft but orderly tone. Monstro pulled himself to his paws and stepped out of the termite infested den and his eyes narrowed at the bright sunlight. He found himself a large rock and nestled his large body ontop of it a moment, relaxing.

Diamante' grumbled as she stretched outside of the den, her knife like claws digging into the dry land. She licked her muzzle and smacked her lips dryly, she could use some breakfast. Her green eyes narrowed at the sound of exercise, she huffed laying onto the hot ground.
