Simba's life in the jungle with a twist

Kidogo groaned when he felt a paw lightly push against his shoulder, waking him up in the process. He slowly opened his right eye and noticed a blurred figure in front of him. He realised that it was Naiomi. "Wh-What is it?" he asked groggily, not used to being awoken suddenly.

"Why did you come out here?" she asked her left ear flicking. "Didn't you go to the watering hole? There was a perfect zebra there!" she exclaimed.

Kidogo blinked a couple of times to try and see more clearly. He was confused at Naiomi's sudden flurry of questions, partly because he had just woken up and wasn't entirely aware of everything yet. "I came here because I'm nocturnal. I can't sleep during the night, so I took a small walk around the Jungle." Kidogo replied to her first question before moving on to the next. "And about that Zebra: I could never have taken it down myself. Just look at me! I'm only half your size even though I'm as big as a Caracal can get!" Kidogo retorted.

Naiomi giggled. "Ypu are big enough for me." she said smiling. "Well, I'll just leave you in peace." she said walking off.

Kidogo tilted his head to one side at Naiomi, watching her walk off. After a few seconds, he quickly stood up and ran towards Naiomi, eventually ending up beside her. "It doesn't mean I don't want to talk to you." Kidogo stated, walking along with the lioness. "So, where are you originally from?" Kidogo asked curiously.

"Oh, um..." she started. "I was...um...I really don't know." she said. "I was raised by my grandparents,....I never knew my mother and father..."

Kasa yawned waking up. She hopped out of the tree and saw Kidogo and Naiomi were awake. "Good morning guys." KAsa said passing them heading towards the waterhole. She saw another hare like the one she saw a few days ago. She stalked it and took it down easily and ate some of the hare. Kasa picked up the hare and brought it over to her friends and dropped it in front of them before sitting down and stating, "You hungry?"

"N-no thanks Kasa." she said faking a smile. "Thanks anyway..."

Kidogo turned his attention to Kasa. "Maybe later." he said simply. He then looked up at Naiomi and immediately regretted asking the question. He didn't want to bring back bad memories to Naiomi. "Im sorry..." he trailed off, not knowing what else to say. "I didn't know my father. I had my mother, brother and sister to keep me company, but me and my siblings left my mother at a year old. All Caracals do that." Kidogo explained, looking ahead of him. "How did you end up here?"

Kasa walked off taking the hare with her and dropping it in from of Simba and poking him with her paw, "Wake up I got you some breakfast, I know Timon and Pumbaa like you to eat bugs but you need alot of protein."
