Ok, this is yet another oneshot based on my "Trials in the Pridelands" RP series. This is dedicated to all of my RP castmates. No bashing or flaming, please.

Together Forever
Simba was very old now. He had recently become extremely ill, and was unable to move from the spot where he was lying in the center of the den. It was known that he was about to die, and it was for this reason that he was now surrounded by his family. Nala, who was also very old now, looked into the eyes of the lion who had loved her since they were young adults. She tenderly rubbed Simba’s face with her paw. Simba could see the sad expression on her face.
“Do not worry, my love. I go to join the great kings and queens in the past,” he said, coughing slightly as he spoke.
Simba then looked to Kopa, Kiara and Chaka. He was so proud of them as they sat there with their own families.
“Kopa, you must now be king. Rule with honor and do not oppress your subjects. As for Kiara and Chaka, do your best to give Kopa wise council,” he told them.
“I will rule honorably, Father,” Kopa stated.
“We will be good advisers,” Kiara added.
Simba gave them a nod of acknowledgment and then finally turned his attention to Vitani. She, like him and Nala, was old now but was being taken good care of by her mate. Simba looked at her.
“Vitani, you’ve been a great sister. For the rest of your life, remember all the good times we shared,” he said.
“I will, Simba,” Vitani said.
Simba smiled at his family one last time. With that, Simba, once the cub prince who just couldn’t wait to be king, the teenager who loved the lioness, who, in his view, was the most beautiful female to ever grace the savannah and the king who was considered one of the greatest of all, took his final breath and passed away. His spirit left his body and joined the great kings and queens of the past. Upon his death, Nala burst into tears, as did Vitani and Kiara. Kopa and Chaka were sad as well. After the family had mourned, Simba’s body was carried out to the savannah so that the Circle of Life could continue. Kopa then assumed the throne, his mate assuming the role of queen. However, the relative peace was short-lived, as several days later, Nala died as well. It was said that it was not merely due to her age, but a broken heart. Her spirit then left her form and went to join the great kings and queens, which now included her beloved Simba. Nala suddenly found herself in a new place, a place of lush grass and waterfalls. She looked around.
“This must be paradise,” she said.
Nala then went to a nearby pond and looked at it. She was shocked by what she saw. Instead of the elderly lioness that had just passed away, she looked young again. In fact, she looked like she was once more a young adult. She continued looking around and came across a large cavern. A small bird met her at the entrance.
“Welcome, Nala. The great kings and queens have been expecting you,” it told her.
Nala entered the cavern. All over the place were gemstones of all colors. She then came to the main chamber, where the great kings and queens rested on ledges. Every lion king and queen was there: Mohatu and his queen, Ahadi, Uru, Mufasa, Sarabi and others. She also noticed Simba there too. He once appeared as the young, handsome lion she had been betrothed to and fallen in love with long ago.
“Welcome to the realm of the great kings and queens of the past, my love,” he said.
Simba then came down from his spot and went to Nala.
“You now have a place next to me, Nala. We are together forever,” he stated.
Simba and Nala then rubbed heads. Now they would be together for all of eternity, free to look down from the stars in happiness upon their offspring, their descendants and the Pridelands. Back in the realm of the living, Simba and Nala would never be forgotten.
