Alma didn't see her son getting up to go see Vitani. Alma walked towards him and laid down on her paws and looked at Nyembe, "What's wrong Nyembe?" Alma asked in a motherly tone, "Shouldn't you be out there showing Vitani who the prince is besides… well the heir to the throne."

[Songo]

Mheetu's green eyes stuided Delano on the log and he stopped thinking of an answer. "Well..I'd fight. But I know you want me to flee?" he said unsure. He took a deep breath, weaving through the trees had exhausted him out. All the dodging and jumping, he knew he had alot to learn.

Tempesta nodded to Addana, "Good." she sniffed the tracks herself. Her turqouise eyes followed Delano as Mheetu chased him into the jungle she smiled. "Let's follow and see if we can find the owners of these tracks." she commented padding ahead. She could smell the scent faintly and she looked for signs of life. She noticed how quiet Addana was, "How are you taking to the newcomers?" she asked. Noticing dust in the distance she suspected they were a bit farther away then planned.

"She and Zuwa are... You know, friendly now. And Zuwa's gonna mush her head with lies, so that I look horrible. There's no point, really. Maybe she should go home."

"Vitani," said Zuwa upon exiting the cave, "What do you do for fun in he Pridelands? Er, what did you used to do? That is, when you were my age..."

Delano grinned, Mheetu didn't know much, but he was on fool. "Ask that yourself. Where would I rather be? On flat ground like that where I grew up and comfortable at, or on this stupid log that I can get tossed off easily enough?" Mheetu took the hint and backed off the log, back on solid ground. Delano followed him.

"Mheetu, you are used to living in a place where the ground is just simply where you stood and fought. But here in the jungle, the ground can be your best friend, or your worst enemy." Delano had already examined the ground, but knew that Mheetu didn't know what to look for. "Take for example where you are standing right now. If you were just one step to the right, bad things would have happened." Delano pressed down on the ground hard with a paw. But it wasn't the ground he stepped on, but a fallen branch. The force of Delano's blow on the branch send it flying upwards, nearly grazing Mheetu's side, who jumped away in fright.

Delano let the branch fall without doing anything with it. "Normally, even with plenty of practice, such a tactic will at best only work as a diversion. Don't rely on branches to harm your opponent. But if you need to make a quick getaway, an extra piece of wood can save your life." Delano explained. "Look around, Mheetu, and tell me what you see. If you think it has any importance, any at all, explain to me why you think it might be important and how." He gave Mheetu the time to look around and examine the jungle.

Alma looked at Nyembe, "Listen Nyembe if you show Vitani who you are, despite what Zuwa says she will like you. If you hear Zuwa saying more lies just tell me I will talk to his mother. Now go out there and show Vitani who you are." The queen nudged her son with her paw and then walked out of the den to relax at Marrones side.

Vitani look at Zuwa. "Well, when I was a cub, we always used to play tag, hide-and-seek or get into lots of trouble!" She paused. "You guys should play some Hide-and-seek. You have A LOT of hiding places!" She added with a laugh.

Maximus looked at Himili talking. He turned and started rearranging his sleeping cave. Moving the rock they slept in to the back of the den, and their food supply right beside the rock. He toke a few steps back and looked at his creation. His eyes got dull again, looking at his new creation. With a sigh, he turned on his heal and left the cave.

Looking at the ground as he walked. It's almost rain season. Gotta collect more food for Zuwa, Himili and I. He thought with a worried look spread across his face. He got his legs into gear and bolted into the jungle to hunt by himself. Running into a family of wildebeest, he stopped and crouched low to the ground.

Licking his chops, and pounced onto the mother wildebeest, her family left her behind while she was getting attacked. Soon, a herd sped by as Maximus brought the female to the ground. His teeth sunk into her neck, and the wild kicks she was making slowed to a stop. Finally, she stopped breathing. Maximus released the grip he had on the carcass. His head lifted as he smiled at his creation. "Home time." She whispered to himself. Picking up the dead animal, he walked the way home.

[Songo]

Mheetu's mossy green eyes scanned the jungles floors and he noticed another large stick, he swiped at it and hit himself in his side. "Ughh..." he huffed as he curled to the ground. He pulled himself up to his paws and grumbled, stepping infront of Delano he rubbed the back of his head. "Well it's a start." he said laughing.

It had been sum time since Mheetu enjoyed a laugh and he hopped over a log. He eyed the jungle he could feel the wet air and he sniffed it deeply. It didn't smell like the Pridelands which scented of grass and heat. The jungle smelled of flowers and water, "Should we go help Tempesta and Addana track? I need a break.." he admitted. Stepping along with Delano he looked to him, "You like her.." he said smirking.

Madrone looked to Nyembe, "If you don't go and ask her to see the jungle Nyembe you'll never have the crown!" he snapped. "Zuwa is a cub. Stop being a baby and start acting like a King." he ordered.

Delano watched as Mheetu tried looking at the terrain. When Mheetu managed to hit himself with a stick and asked for a break, Delano accepted. "It will take you a while before you get comfortable with the jungle. Until then, as long as you stay cool, you'll be fine." Delano lead Mheetu back to where Tempesta and Addana should be. Mheetu commented about how Delano liked Tempesta...

"No! I do not. Never in my life!" Delano protested. Mheetu started laughing uncontrollably at this. Delano grunted with anger, getting extremely defensive. "Stop laughing! It's not funny! I do not like Tempesta! Sure we're friends, but were not... we're just regular friends, so please shut up!"

Turning, Delano swiftly headed into the jungle in order to get away from Mheetu for a while.

[Songo]

Mheetu watched how defensive Delano got and he chuckled, he padded up to Tempesta and Addana, "Tempesta, Delano ran into the jungle mad. You better go check on him." he said in a worried tone. Watching Tempesta bound off into the jungle Mheetu stepped up to Addana, "Well...you were saying earlier? Before your father spoke?" he asked stepping around her. He smirked to himself holding Delano used his time with Tempesta well.

Tempest's ears went back, "Mheetu protect Addana if she need helps. Let me go get him." she said bounding off into the jungle. She could smell Delano and she saw his fresh large paw prints. Stepping through the bushes she caught up with him, "Delano are you okay! Mheetu said you were upset. I came to make sure your alright." she said stepping into the little bit of sunlight the canopy offered them. Her turqouise eyes sparkled in the light, she moved closer and his upset features. "I was worried and so was Mheetu." she added.

[Nitro]

Addana nodded, following the tracks. They smelled strongly of wildebeest, and her claws unsheathed in anticipation of a hunt, though she had never actually been in one. "I think new blood will be good for our pride," the princess said slowly, choosing her words carefully as to not upset the thin balance that hung in place. Before she could clarify her meaning, she found herself alone with only Mheetu for company. "I don't need protecting!" she shouted after her mentor for the day. She froze as Mheetu spoke. "I do not know what you speak of," she said stiffly, not turning to face him.
