What Do You Think Really Killed Mufasa?

Yeah, I think this thread has served its purpose. This debate is now becoming silly. People can beleive what they want. I beleive in what I think is correct.

Wow, the votes are pretty even stevens on this topic, very interesting. I voted for the fall myself. It's more likely a combination of both but here's the twisted logic that I thought of. Mufasa amongst the wildebeest, easily handles himself, we see that when he goes to save Simba. So providing he's amongst them as a healthy cat, he will live. However, because of the fall, he likely has broken bones etc if he's not already dead and therefore he does not have the health or the strength to be able to escape them. So even if he was still alive after the fall, the wildebeest may have dealt the final blow, but the fall certainly killed him/sentenced him to his death (which is as good as killing).

Plus, I think it detracts from some of Scar's wickedness and glory if it was soley the fault of the wildebeest for Mufasa's death. It was because Scar threw him off the cliff that he died. Wildebeest stampede or not.

I'm changing my idea: Now, I think it was just a combination of the two, but if I had to pick the bigger contribution to his death: I'd pick the wildebeasts. And here are my reasons why:

- They would have broken Mufasa's fall, but they would have tossed him around, trampled him, stabbed him, and sliced him with their horns (ouch)
- You wouldn't see the full extent of the damage because that would be to gorey

Soo: Scar made Mufasa fall which made Mufasa land in the wildebeasts who finished the job.

So, basically, it's Scar (which is something I think everyone can agree on )

Yeah I think the fall killed him because when he fell it took about 3 or 4 seconds for him to hit the ground. So the fall would be about maybe 300- 400 feet by the math I did real quickly on my calculator (I might have messed up though) but by some science he could live, but since there was a stampede three or four hits to the head would have killed him.
