Kinahra followed the antelope for a long time. She hadn't rested for a while and decided to let them get ahead. Maybe they'd settle down and she'd be able to catch them. Sitting on the ground she yawned and smiled as the sun warmed her back. Stretching out she decided to lie down and rest that way. Not knowing another lion was headed for the pridelands.

Sirom remained quiet for the time being and allowed Shani to break their moment of silence by saying a few things until he ran off in the general direction where the noise was coming from. Alarmed by Shani's quick reaction, the young lion quickly accelerated forward with a low grunt, desperately trying to move all of his weakening paws ahead of him. The lack of nutrition was getting the better of him right now as he still kept up a good rapidity behind Shani.

Within moments time, Sirom's eyes widen a little to spot his friend stopping abruptly. Sirom had no idea what was going on right now and he wasn't sure if if Shani had spotted this intruder or not. The young lion soon came to a stop right beside his king, getting a quick scan around their present location. Things seemed to be normal until Shani's voice spoke up unanticipatedly. He looked over to see where the king was staring at and to his surprise, Sirom spotted a lioness trying to flee quickly.

Before the young lion can do anything to stop the spying intruder, Shani's voice rose up once more and spoke of this lioness's name. To Sirom's surprise, he wouldn't of guessed that the king of the Outlands have known about this intruder but sure enough, he is glad that there wasn't going to be any physical contact. Calming himself down momentarily, Sirom positioned himself next to Shani and took a seat beside his friend, listening on to the king introducing this lioness. A much warmer smile formed around the young lion's ebony muzzle lips as he nodded in respect.

"Hello Skykara, I'm Sirom. I'm very sorry to have startle you early this morning. Seeing how we're stuck in the Outlands, I wasn't sure if you were a predator or not. I'm just happy to know you're one of Shani's pride." Sirom spoke up in a peaceful tone, admiring Skykara's well toned furry body. He can quite tell that the lioness is hungry and needed something to eat. It seemed that food around all parts of the Outlands were running up dry and their only hope is to sneak into the Pride Lands and sneak a antelope, zebra or some wildebeest. However, with Simba running the throne right now, it seemed this simple task can be almost impracticable. With the three lions falling silent, Sirom glanced back over at Shani and smiled.

"Say Shani, I don't want to be a bother or anything... But, do you think we can find something to eat? I haven't eaten anything decent in the last day or so and I'm very hungry right now. Also, food here in the Outlands seems pretty dry so I was thinking... Do you think we can sneak some antelope or even zebra from the Pride Lands? I have some knowledge of the Pride Lands and antelope seem like our best bet since they linger close to the borders."
Sirom spoke and suggested, wondering what the response was going to be.

"I'll gladly do this task too but I don't think I'll be able to do this alone. If you can come along with me, that would be great. Perhaps, maybe you and Skykara can come along too, I'll be sure to get you and your Pride something good to eat. It's early morning too so I think Simba and his pride are still very well asleep. What do you think?" Sirom finished and allowed the Outlander to ponder this question and task. In the meantime, Sirom briefly glanced back at Skykara to get a better look of this magnificent lioness.

[Future reference. If no one claims Simba or Nala, I'll gladly fill one of their roles. I can take up Nala. Just so we can have this RP going on smoothly.]

The corners of Shani's mouth lifted to form a crooked grin. This was a lion after his own heart. Shani didn't rush into an answer though, wanting to weigh the risks of such a course of action.

"I like the way you think friend. I'm glad I found you. Simba's got more prey than he and his pride could eat in a lifetime. We'll have to plan this out though. Are you in Sykara? If we do this right There's no worry that they'll know we've been there. Besides, I can take Simba or Kovu with you and Sirom at my side even if we have the bad luck to meet them scouting."

Sirom stopped talking to give Sykara time to think and answer, but his mind was still working on the problem. He figured that Sirom would be able to direct them to the most promising hunting area where they could make a quick kill. They'd have to drag the carcass back into the outlands so none of the pridelanders noticed a mysterious kill... Unless they just left the bones there and hoped Simba assumed that a leopard or cheetah had made the kill. It didn't seem likely that their plan could fail, and the incentive of a full meal was too tempting to pass up.

Sykara came out of her long-time hiding spot behind the elephant skull for once, and the lioness spent a long moment under silence, her eyes closed shut very tightly in order for her to think properly. Now that Shani and Sirom had both spoken to her, she might as well answer. She could very much tell that they were waiting. Sykara took a big breath, and finally began to speak.

"Hello there, you two, she said, making an effort to speak so that they could hear her (she tended to murmur a lot). "I thought you were more of those idiotic Pridelanders that come here from time to time or something." Sykara made a disgusted face, and then looked at Shani's and Sirom's words about sneaking over to the Pridelands and getting some decent food. Besides, the rumbling in her stomach that had existed ever since she had woken up still lingered.

She smiled softly, very softly.
"I'm in."

Shani looked at his two pride members. One timid and solitary, the other weakened by a hard life. The three of them were a sorry bunch to defy the pridelanders, but he knew there was no choice.

"All right then. Here's what we're gonna do. Simba's sentenced us to death by forcing us into the outlands while a fair bit of his pride doesn't even need to hunt. I'm sick of accepting that sentence, nothing gives him the right to condemn us like this. Sirom, if you can lead us to a likely hunting ground that is as close to the border as possible, Sykara can drive an animal towards the two of us. Try to drive it as far into the outlands as you can. Sirom, you and I will be waiting to ambush it." He said, addressing each lion in turn, Then he spoke to both lions again. "We'll try to make the kill in the outlands so there's no trace of us being there, but we're not letting the prey get away without a meal, even if we have to chase the blasted thing all the way to Pride Rock."

Shani looked from Sirom to Sykara, feeling adrenaline and his resolve to save the pride mix into a cold determination to succeed. "Any questions?" He asked.

Sykara listened very attentively to what Shani was trying to say. Even though she had barely remembered anything about Simba, to her, Pride Rock was still a place she did not want to go back to, the memories of Scar and the hyenas far too haunting, despite the fact that she was positive that they had gone long ago, and was now happily under the reign of Simba. Simba still never planned a future for me there. He never will.

"Seems like a fine plan to me," she said back to Shani, her voice still shaking a little bit with hesitation. How would she be able to track down an antelope all the way to the Outlands without it going away wouldn't be the easiest thing ever for her, and she knew that. Sykara's mind had a question somewhere, but she couldn't put it into words. She just gulped.

Sirom remained quiet and observed Sykara's actions, listening closely to what she was saying. A low chuckle escaped the young lion's ebony muzzle lips as he smiled a little bigger, beginning to move up on all fours to arch out his back for a much needed stretch. He was quite amused by Sykara's words and the slight humor into it.

"Oh no, we're definitely not one of the Pride Landers. I must agree with you that they're quite annoying all the time, giving us these limitations on things. Anyway, it's really nice to meet you Sykara." The affable lion spoke up once more, seating himself down once more on his haunches. Sirom soon heard that Sykara was going to participate in their much needed hunt, seeing how they needed a well built lioness to get the antelope, wildebeest or even a zebra.

Sirom glanced over towards Shani, wondering what sort of input he was going to state. It didn't take long for this intelligent king to come up with a brilliant idea and the whole plan seemed like it'll work. It sounded like a easy task but he knew once their motion was set, their actions will tell the story. With no time to waste, the young lion looked over at the two and gave lead.

"This plan of yours is really great, Shani. I know for sure we'll get something out of this and I'll do my utmost best to get our bellies full with fresh meat." Sirom stated and scanned the area ahead of him. He knew that most of the wildebeest love to roam more near the borderline of the Pride Lands and Outlands. During this early morning, they should be able to spot a few wildebeest near one of the Pride Land's waterhole areas. Along the way, Sirom glanced over his broad, furry brown shoulder and briefly looked at the two pride members.

"I know a few wildebeest enjoy to prowl near the waterhole in Pride Land territory. The thing is, it's several feet away and the worse case scenario for us is one of the Pridelanders catching Sykara in the hunt. I don't think they will be ALL the way over here though." Sirom spoke deliberately, trying to ease any distress that the two lions might be experiencing, even though he wasn't sure if they were calm or not. However, it didn't hurt to make the atmosphere a more calming one. After a few minutes of power padding towards their destination, Sirom came to a slow stop and let out a soft sigh, eying one of the small trees in the distance.

"Okay, we're pretty much here now guys. See those small trees over there? Beyond the small patch of trees lie where the waterhole is located. If I'm correct, we should see some of the wildebeest taking a few drinks here." Sirom said softly with a partial smile. Deep inside, he was quite nervous about this task and wasn't sure if things will go according to plan. All that's left to do is to wait for Sykara to go out and catch one of the unlucky wildebeest.

[Sorry for the late post, I got kinda busy last night. Anyways, there might be a few typos in this one seeing how I only slept for 2 hours or so. >.> Just a small warning hehe. ^^]

Yes, this post starts where TS's started. Sorry if it looks a little confusing.

Looking back into Sirom's eyes for a second, Sykara raised her chin slightly. "Well, that's rather good," she said , with a catlike grin on her face.

As Sirom padded off, Sykara looked back a little bit at the elephant graveyards. As she looked at it now, everything seemed a lot different to it now, even though she had only stumbled on the place a couple of hours ago, or so it seemed. It now wasn't a scary place; it seemed like something had changed. The question she had was still stuck in her mind, yet she still didn't want to blurt it out.

Sykara grunted and followed Sirom, with Shani padding behind him. When they got to the waterhole and the small trees, the young lioness looked around for any wildebeest to show up, and Sykara could chase it down to where they wanted. Her legs were up and ready, and Sykara was eager. Now, her hunger and empty stomach would be satisfied.

Shani looked around and then tried to picture the scene from above, judging how far they could risk crossing and where to best position themselves for the kill. The trees on the outland side of the waterhole would be good cover both from pridelanders and a place from which they could spring an ambush. Sykara would probably barely have to disturb a wildebeest for it to panic and dash in their direction. Unfortunately such an ideal waterhole would probably also be frequented by pridelanders, and a kill there might be noticed. On the other hand Shani noticed a convenient ridge a short distance behind them, back in the outlands. It was a drop off of maybe three or four feet, that they could shelter under, waiting for the wildebeest to jump over them before making a kill.

Shani spoke in a hushed, but clear voice being so close to both potential food and potential danger. "Good job Sirom. This looks like about the best hunting area we're lucky enough to be able to use. Now, Sykara: Where do you want us in ambush? It depends on how far you think you can herd the prey without it catching wind of what you're up to. It's your call. I don't want to have you try anything fancy. Just get the thing to us and we can make the kill." Shani said, nodding at his new partener-in-hunting.

Sykara looked back at Shani, looked back at Sirom, and then looked back to that odd border of the Pridelands for what was probably the billionth time. This certainly wasn't the hardest hunting plot ever made in existence, but it was certainly a start. From all that she knew, wildebeests were pretty stubborn creatures.

"Well, Shani," she said, trying not to raise her voice. "Try to keep your cover somewhere that's not too far into the Outlands, in case the wildebeest gets smart on me and decides to run. Honestly, I highly doubt something like that happening, but maybe...somewhere over where we came from, the elephant place?" She pointed her nose and long, sensitive, housecat-like whiskers over in that direction. "But then again..." Sykara looked at the ridge that Shani had quietly noticed, "an ideal place to go is that place over there, which is much shorter off. It'll probably run right off." She nodded her head. Something told her that the wildebeest would be coming VERY soon...
