Think about how sweet she was towards Kovu in the very beginning of My Lullaby, and how her soft side showed at Nuka's Death. But back to what Sparrow said, it's true, there would be no TLK II: Simba's Pride.

I understand your point, but in my opinion, Scars death drove Zira off the edge. She is obsessed with getting revenge on Simba and trains and brainwashes her cub... That qualifies for crazy in my book. Of course she wants revenge for Scars death, but it was the Hyenas who actually killed Scar, not Simba.

My theory is that Zira may very well have been in love with Scar, but I don’t think he loved her back. I think it’s a strong possibility that Zira and Scar had Nuka together (which would explain why Nuka is so bitter at Kovu being chosen as the heir instead of himself.)
In addition, Zira seems extremly powerhungry, much like Scar. I get the impression that she wants her son to become king so that she can bask in his glory and enjoy a high position in the pride.
(In the Norwegian version of My Lullaby, Zira sings "the lionesses fall in rank, that’s my lullaby," which to me implies that she is longing for power and a higher rank than the other lionesses of the pride.)

I think the reason we haven't heard of Zira in TLK is that she wasn't all that Evil, just staying there and being quiet. In TLK 2 she did exactly the opposite of that, which means that Scars death turned on the atomic fireball in her.
Maybe Scar dragged her into this business, you know how smart he is! XD

Yup, I believe that too. But she would still have been a little unfriendly maybe, a really good person won't turn into what she's become, but she wouldn't have been bad to the extent that its causing trouble. Lol.

i think most of zira's problems come from her childhood; even though her past is unknown. who knows, she was probebly treated badly when she was a cub

Yeah, quite possibly. But we don't have any evidence, so all we can do is assume. XD

I mostly think Zira was tricked and manipulated by Scar. Love has a way of doing that to you... even if it's only one-sided.

I have trouble feeling too much sympathy for Zira because of the way she treated Nuka. (I love Nuka ) However, it's a shame she couldn't let go of the hate and take the help Kiara offered... same with Scar
