Simba said, "You know you don't have to patrol right? You're not the king yet." he couldn't help but smile, "I'm sure you'll do more than fine when your time comes."

"I just want to be ready," Kopa answered.

Simba smiled, "You are ready. You should instead "spend time" with Vitani." he chuckled.

"Very well. I will go home now," Kopa said as he started to return to Pride Rock.

Simba smiled as his son left and then carried on with his patrol.

Kopa headed back and went to find Vitani. "Vitani, I'm home," he announced.

Vitani was surprised to see he was already back. "Back so soon?" she got up and went over to him.

"My father said I should be spending time with you," Kopa replied.

Vitani smiled, "I like the way he thinks."
