Nala smiled at her son as he left, before goig into the den.

Kopa began his patrol, looking out for his father.

Nala meanwhile started gathering the lionesses for the day's hunt.

Kopa looked around, admiring the beauty of the land he and Vitani would one day rule. Not much was going on. A few elephants had begun to feed from the surrounding grasses and birds flew overhead.

As she gathered the lioness, Nala noticed Vitani get up, "Where are you going?" Vitani looked at her mother in law and said, 'What do you mean? I'm coming with you like always." Nala smiled, "It's hard to hunt when you're pregnant. Not to mention that once the cubs in your stomach gather weight you wont be able to hunt at all." Vitani said, "Oh, I never thought of that... But, are you sure you'll be fine without me?" Nala chuckled, "Don't worry yourself, we'll be fine." she could tell by Vitani's behaviour that she would make a good queen.

Kopa was still walking when he noticed his father and went over. "Father, Mother wanted me to let you know that she had something to speak to you about. She's getting ready to go hunt right now," he told him.

Simba looked at his son, "If she's getting ready to leave I'll talk to her when she gets back." he smiled at his son, "How's Vitani doing?"

"She's doing well, Father," Kopa replied.

Simba smiled, "That's good to hear. You came all the way here just because your mother was looking for me?"
