Simba is not fat

I wonder that some people think that Simba in SP is ugly. Yes, he isn`t fat at all. He looks a bit older - but he is really older than in TLK. In SP Simba looks more like his father, I think.

He's not fat. He's put on muscule weight and has "filled out", so to speak. Remember, he was living on bugs while living with Timon and Pumbaa. Once he's back in the Pridelands, he had access to meat once again, which is, after all, proper food for a lion. He's also older in SP (his face has matured). So of course he wouldn't be the same size as in TLK.

Serious reply: I think that Simba looks fatter because 1) The animators are different, and most likely that was the best they were able to do (no insult intended), 2) They wanted to make Simba look oder and more "buff", but again, couldn't quite do it: try animating a muscled human: many lines that you have to get right. Now try that with a lion. So the reason why Simba is "fat" is simply a combination of him having to be older and stronger, along with a different animation team.
