[Arani]

Kara looked at him. "Oh, if you think Amani is bad, you do NOT want to meet her father. He's always been a power seeker. Doesn't like anyone to stray, doesn't want anyone to be stronger than him. That's why I got mad. Because I'm sick of them and their bossy ways."

Kayan again stared at her silently for a moment, "I'm sure that they can listen to sense." he wasn't sure at all to be honest, "Try telling them that you're thankful and everything but have your own life to live." Even if that did work, he doubted Amani's father would ever approve of him staying.

[Arani]

"Believe it or not, I've said no to demands and told them I needed my freedom multiple times." Kara closed her eyes for a brief moment to remember. "You should have heard the yelling. Not something you'd want to experience. But they just might listen to me and let you stay. I can't make any promises, but I'll see what I can do."

Kayan suddenly felt bad about the entire thing and sighed, "Look, maybe I'll talk to them? If they say no might as well if they yell at me and not at you..."

[Arani]

Kara looked at him with a thankful smile and shook her head no. "Thank you, Kayan, but I'll do it. You could come if you want, though. Maybe meeting you will convince them that you're not here to destroy everything." She chuckles slightly at how paranoid the two of them had become over the years. "Besides, if push comes to shove I know how to deal with them. At least long enough to turn tail and run."

Kayan then commented to her last statement, "Yeah, just reminded me that they could try and kill me or something like that..." he sighed, "I'll come with you." if he could at least stand by her side as she was making all this effort for him then that's what he was going to do.

[Arani]

"Oh, sorry." Kara smiled a bit. "If they even thought of doing that, it probably wouldn't be to much of a fight. Amani's father is pretty old, so I don't think he could put up much of a fight. And Amani, well..." Kara's smile faded once again. "I can deal with her."

Kayan was silent. He had gotten in alot of trouble while being a rogue, and in all those time he managed to avoid hurting anyone. Sure, he defended himself more than once and all his encounters did give him some experience, but all he always did was just use those skills to protect himself and then run off. "Let's try and avoid a fight anyways."

[Arani]

Kara nodded. "I agree. I hate fights. But if the worst should happen..." Kara shook her head and growled at herself. "What am I saying? I don't think I could fight either way! It's just them and their stupid rules that calls for it I guess, but still. Fights have been avoided in all the years since the passing of my father and I intend to keep it that way."

Kayan nodded, "I'm not the one who looks for fights. You can count on me on that part."
