"Alright Dad, I'm gonna do my best to please you, love you." Chaka whispered as he curled around Simba's leg, purring.

"We love you too, baby brother," Kopa purred and nuzzled Chaka's head before unning off to play.

"Heh, thanks guys. Say, why don't why go play near the river?" Chaka raced in that direction, he was always amazed by the beauty of the river, no animals seemed to drink from it, and only fish and turtles swam in it. It was a respected piece of nature. "Come on! I'll race you there!" He chuckled.

"Be careful and watch out for crocodiles!" Simba shouted after his son.

"Yes, dad!" Kopa called over his shoulder, catching up to his brother.

Nala sighed and her blue eyes fell upon her cubs, "Simba, don't be so hard on our cubs." she stated softly. Nala scooped all three cubs up in with her paw and gave them a big hug. She sat them down in a line, "Listen to me you three, regardless of royal duties. Nothing is more important then your family." Nala's blue eyes stared at her cubs, "Protect each other, love each other and never turn your back on each other. There could always be another King, but you wont have a brother or sister like eachother." she stated simply. Her words stung and for a moment she missed Mheetu's presence. Nala's blue eyes looked up at Simba and she sighed, this future throne choice was going to be hard.

Sarafina stepped back and let Nala address her cubs, after she finished she watched the cubs obey their mother. A smile crossed her muzzle, "Your mother is right kids, family is first." she said softly. Sarafina took her paw and rubbed between Kopa's ears, " Come on lets run along. Lets go cool off in the river." she said pushing the cubs forward. Sarafina looked to Nala and Simba and nodded before following after the cubs, she stayed close to them.

Nala shook her muzzle and looked at Simba, "I don't know how were going to choose this. Kopa is suppose to have the throne, because he was born first. But I don't know....I don't want this destroying our family." she said frowning softly. Nala looked at Mufasa, "Look at what happened with you and Scar.." she muttered.

Mostro looked at Zira and shook his muzzle, "Right now I sent out a message to some rogue lionesses. But Id like to stay around and train Kovu, while we think of a plan." he said in his low tone. His mustard eyes watched Kovu practice his pouncing and he nodded in approval, "Good Kovu." he instructed.

Diamante' watched Zira talk with Mostro and the lioness got bored. She laid down on the hot dirt for a moment, her black pelt attracting the sunlight, she felt her body heat up.

"Well, we're doing it right so far, Nala. The mistake that Ahadi and Uru made with my father and Scar was that they played favorites and loved Mufasa more. I have no intention of doing that," Simba said to Nala.

Mufasa sighed. "I know. He also brought death to himself from his own minions." He frowned, remembering the brutal death of his younger brother. He shook his head to rid of the picture lodged in his memory. "You're right Simba, but my mother was kind to him. My father hated him, and gave him a scar when Taka broke my leg for attention." He answered Simba before Nala could.

Kiara stopped running with her brothers. "MOM! What about hunting lessons!" She yelled with an angry tone. Eyebrows lowering down to her eyes. Her paws hit the ground hard, as she sat down. Waiting for her doppelgänger mother to answer. Her blue eyes looked at her in a, 'Hurry up mom!' way.

Simba turned to his father. "Scar broke your leg once?" he asked, a genuine look of surprise on his face.

"I'm coming dear.." Nala called out to Kiara and stood to her paws quickly. "I hope your right about this.." she sighed and padded towards the cubs. "Come on Chaka,Kopa. Kiara wants to go practice hunting, you all need to practice your skills." she ordered in a motherly tone.

Sarafina followed close behind Chaka and Kopa, bringing up the rear. "Now listen boys, find a insect or a flower. Possibly a bird you'd like to try and catch." she added slinking low to the ground.
