Osama bin "Gotten"

Just checked the news, and was rather shocked to find out that a U.S. raid has found and killed Osama Bin Laden.
Just spreading the news. I'll keep my opinion about the news to myself.

Yeah, this is major news for america. We've been searching for this guy for almost 10 years. A couple of my family members were tearing up during Obama's speach.

No need to swear about it... It is comments like those which makes me think that the old rule of not allowing political discussion should not have been changed, state your opinion sensibly or do not at all. Really adding nothing to the conversation.

And guys, only ONE person needs to tell us that the threat still exists. We all know that Bin Laden is not the only figure head in Al Qaeda or other terrorist groups, thanks Sherlock. But he was still a key player and his death was a big leap in the war against terror.

They already said they "condemn the killing of Bin Laden", if you did not expect that then you are crazy.
Since 9/11 there is never a safe day, a better question would be when are they NOT planning horrible revenge? Not as if we have been storming their training camps for years or anything... But security is on high alert now, and I personally believe that initially they will target Asian territories as opposed to the US or European countries. Al Qaeda is a much weaker force than they were, and IF they do not get a new central leader and break into groups with different ideologies then they will have even less power than they do.

Thing is when an IDEA is born, killing the person who conceives it, is not enough, it will re surface. The only way we will ever be safe is completely wiping the concept of terrorism from the Earth. But for now this is good news. their spirit is going to be crushed and that is what the aim is.

His death is more symbolic than anything. As far as we know, he never did anything big in the past few years. It was always some other terrorist branch. But with Osama dead, the figurehead for all the terrorist groups, they have to realize that they are on the losing side, and that they are not invincible. They can attack, but they can't win the war.

Just ask Egypt and about half the Middle East which is busy establishing self-made democracies.

For one thing, I didn't swear really, I could have been saying something else, but those old enough knew what I meant. And how did my comment make you think that the political rules shouldn't have been changed? Two other people agreed with me, even used my comment in a quote. It was just a simple sentence. I'm sorry it wasn't a long rant like you wrote, a rant that pretty much said what I said but longer. And I was adding something to the conversation because as I said, people agreed with me and used it. Why did you get your knickers in a twist? Seriously.
