Nello knew that Karus' son was not telling him the truth. "Lies."

Karus' son laughed, "Yeah your father said that a lot as well." He then said, "Alright bring the doe here." Karus' mate dragged her to Karus' son.

Nello blocked her way, "Leave her alone." he wondered why wasn't she at least trying to run away.

Karus' son laughed, "I think she knows why she is not running away. She wants to know something that has been nagging at her for a long time."

Nello was confused, "And what is that?"

Karus laughed, "Well it is like this. She is my daughter. Do you love her as much now fool?" He laughed.

Nello looked shocked, "What?" he quickly told himself that Karus was lying, "You think I'll fall for that?"

Karus laughed, "I don't care if you do or not. It is the truth."

Nello still didn't believe him. Did Karus have 2 different mates? Even if it was true then why did the doe call him just a 'crazy buck' earlier? Why hasn't she recognized him? He looked at the doe, "Is this true?"

The doe said, "Why are you asking me?" Karus's son said, "More or less. Technically she just doesn't know yet. But after some other clues follow suit you both will indeed know." He then asked, "So are your feelings gone? Surely noble Nello wouldn't want to be involved in a family of wierdos?"
