Stop being so close minded. Kopa is just as real as your precious Kiara as axplained in that definitions article in the first post of the third page. But of course, all Kopa haters are close-minded so I'm just wasting my time here.

And Kovu doesn't really look like Scar.. His fur-color is close, so what? Look at his mane, his muzzle and his body. No resemblance.

Actually, Scar has a relatively light fur color, and just a black mane. Although almost all the fan artists draw him as a cub that's pretty much a clone of Kovu, I must point out that it is inaccurate.

Another thing I must point out, is that SP was made by different directors and was just a spinoff of TLK. TLK6NA was also a spinoff but was made first. Therefore, Kopa is even more official than Kiara.

I don't doubt that Kopa is an official character, The books after all did have the Disney name on them. That could not have been accomplished without the company's permission. Kopa is an official Disney character, but being that he never officially appeared in any Lion King movie (which is the main media of the Lion King Franchise) it is simple for Disney to toss him out of the cannon in favor of Kiara. So while it can be argued that Kopa does or does not have a place in Lion King cannon. It can not be argued that he is an official Disney character.
