"Shall I kill her then, Father?" Kopa asked, managing to keep Zira down despite her struggling.

Simba shook his head, "No son. I'll do it."

Kopa held Zira down so that his father could deal the death blow. "Simba, please. I am family. You wouldn't kill your own aunt. It's just not you," Zira said, panic replacing the fury.

Simba sighed and came closer, "I gave you a chance to let go and leave, you didn't take it."

Zira shrieked as Simba's fangs sank into the flesh of her neck. She began to squirm as she was suffocated.

Simba didn't let go. Even if he did regret it Zira was too badly injured to survive, might as well end her misery right away.

Zira continued to struggle, until, finally, she died. Kopa looked down. "It is done, Father," he said.

Simba finally let go and let out a sigh, "Yes, it's over."

Kopa looked to Vitani. "Are you all right?" he asked.

Vitani nodded and sighed, "I'm fine..." she walked over to him and nuzzled him, "It's finally over..."
