Vitani sighed, "Well I sure don't know." she wanted it all to be over but for it to be over they would all have to confront Zira again. She didn't know which one would be better; continuing to live in fear of her, or ending it all but at the cost of seeing her again.

"Sadly, I think a confrontation will occur, and when and if it does, I will be there at your side," Kopa declared.

Vitani remained quiet. What were the chance of neither Kopa nor anyone close to him getting hurt once they confronted Zira? Probably zero.

"I guess we'll just have to see what happens," Kopa stated.

Vitani continued staring into Kopa's eyes before starting to passionately lick him, "I love you..." she said, carrying on, "My life has a purpose thanks to you..."

"And because of your courage, I have a love to rule at my side one day," Kopa replied, licking her in return.

Vitani smiled. Once they got married, everything would be just perfect. She probably wouldn't be thinking that way if she knew Zira was on her way.

"For now, let us put aside all thoughts of Zira and focus on each other," Kopa replied. Just as he went to nuzzle her, that horrible laughter rang out again, and Kali entered. He saw Vitani and Kopa. "Greetings Vitani. I see you've forgotten your mother," he said mockingly.

Vitani immediately got scared when her father show up. How did he get there without alerting anyone? As far as she remembered, everybody else besides them were on watch. That meant that something distracted everybody, which led Vitani to the conclusion that that distraction was her mother.
