"Vitani, you are not Zira. I could never see you beating an innocent cub," Kopa stated, horrified at what he was hearing.

Vitani regretted saying that. "I know, I'm sorry..." she sighed

"Vitani, you have to forget about Zira. The fear and worry is what she wants you to feel," Kopa replied.

Vitani closed her eyes but she just couldn't get her mother out of her head. "I'm trying..." no matter how hard she tried she just couldn't forget about that lunatic. She felt too confused to think about anything. She sighed and laid back on the ground.

Kopa nuzzled her. "Vitani, you belong to me, to Serena, to my parents, to everyone who loves you. Zira is just a lunatic who wants to be queen. The real next queen is you," he said.

Vitani again felt reassured as Kopa laid down next to her and nuzzled her. "I love you so much..." she returned his nuzzle and cuddled up to him, trying to calm herself down.

"I love you too. I don't know what I'd do if you hadn't come into my life," Kopa replied, ever more eager for this whole thing to be over so that he could marry her.

Vitani smiled and just remained cuddled up to her future mate and staring into his eyes.

"If only this could be solved without bloodshed..." Kopa said as he and Vitani stared into each other's eyes. Meanwhile, in the Outlands, Zira was about to put her final plan into motion. "Soon, we will rule Pride Rock once again!" she declared. Kali and the other Outlanders roared with delight.

Vitani sighed, "Can it?" she wasn't expecting an answer because it just seemed impossible.
