true, so true. I now realize that some films don't deserve to be there.

Spirited Away had some good animation, a good plot/characters and all that, but nothing will ever come close to the majesty (no pun intended) of TLK.

To be honest, my favorite animated films are probably a tie between Felidae and Hunchback of Notre Dame. Lion King is an amazing film, but I hardly think it's the best animated film ever made.

For me it's a tie between the Hunchback of Notre Dame and TLK. They're both amazing films <3

I just checked on Rotten Tomatoes, the best animated films.

Good: Shrek is #30. It lost to TLK

Bad: Spirited Away: 13 Lion King: 26! 26!!!! Toy Story 1 and 2 made it into the top 10! Toy Story 2 is considered the best animated movie of all time. What's going on here?!?!?!

I did not see Felidae or Hunchback of Notre Dame. But the top 20 were vastly populated by the extremely oldies (Pinnocio, Cinderella - 30's and 40's movies that have an extreme nostalgia for most people), but for the most part, Pixar has an unfair share of movies there. I believe that it's because they came about after the popularity of the Internet, and young people who saw what we call mediocre (and they call good) feel like they are correct when they rank Toy Story 2 as the best animated film in the world, because people like me will not vote (no need to), and therefore the entire list is biased towards Pixar (the technology and internet-population targeting company). But still. The Lion King, 26!!
