"So have I, Vitani..." he said. Some time later, the pride was celebrating the impending marriage in the den. However, it was ruined when Zira suddenly showed up. She noticed the king glaring at her. "Aw, I've interrupted a happy moment," she said with mock sympathy.

Vitani got scared when her mother showed up and she hid behind Kopa. She was old enough to protect herself, but the traumatic memories of her mother during cubhood made her think otherwise. Simba growled at Zira, "What are you doing here?"

"I've come to announce that Kali and I will be returning soon to reclaim Scar's throne. Whatever it is you're planning, it won't happen," Zira replied. She then looked at Simba a bit more. "Oh Simba, you're such a handsome lion. It's a pity that I have to kill you," she added.

Simba looked disgusted. "It was foolish of you to come here by your own."

"What makes you think I came on my own?" Zira asked as Kali and two of the Outlander lionesses entered the den. "The male is Kali, Vitani's father, and others are two of the lionesses that you exiled along with me," she added.

Simba didn't look impressed, "You're still out-numbered." he again growled at her, "Do yourself a favor and dissapear."

"Oh, my greatly hated nephew, I will go, but I will be back soon, and when that happens, you will join Mufasa!" Zira said with undisguised menace before taking off with her allies.

Simba growled at her as she left. Even though she was gone, Vitani was still hiding behind Kopa, obviously still startled by the encounter.

Kopa looked at Simba. "Father, should we put the Pridelands on alert?" he asked.

Simba nodded at his son. "Your wedding has to wait." Vitani still look terrified.
