"Well, my dad was saying that he wanted me to wait just a bit longer, so I guess it'll be when my mane is fully grown in," Kopa replied, wishing that it could be sooner.

Vitani smiled, "I can't wait. I bet you'll look way more handsome when that happens." she giggled and licked his cheek again.

"And I think you'll look even more beautiful as an adult lioness," Kopa said with a loving smile.

Vitani smiled. "My life can't get any better." her life seemed so perfect to her that she though nothing could change it for the worse.

They continued to pepper each other with flirtations. Soon, the sun was almost down. "Well, you want to head back?" Kopa said.

Vitani said, "I guess we have to, even though I'd love to stay here and sleep under the stars, or something like that..." she sighed and stood up, "We should probably go before anybody gets worried though."

"Or we get in trouble," Kopa added as he got to his feet.

Vitani smiled, "We better hurry then."

"Then let's go," Kopa said and began to make his way home.

Vitani silently followed her future mate, happily thinking about what would happen once they were older.
