[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

"I... I..." Zira knew his words had meaning, but so did Scar's. Who was she to follow? She overheard Scar muttering to Mufasa about how the hyenas had the plan, had forced them to fight. His lies were convincing, but he was running out of them. She knew the sun would set on him today. She hoisted Nuka onto her back and left. But that did not mean the fight was over. She was by Scar's side forever.

Simba watched Zira leave. Part of him wanted to follow her, but he chose not to. He had other responsibilities, the first of which was to rid the Pridelands of Scar. "Give it up, Uncle Scar. You have already lost," he stated.

Nala stood beside Simba and growled at Scar, she watched Mufasa speak towards him. Her blue eyes narrowed, "Your loving mate disappeared! Your blaming the hyenas? Your a coward." she added sourly.

Sarafina stepped beside Nala and looked at Scar, "Stop the killing Scar, its over." she said softly. Sarafina looked around to see where Shujaa had went and her green eyes settled on him.

"I blame because that is where the blame lies! It is the hyenas' faults!"

Shenzi heard what Scar said, as did the other hyenas. This infuriated them. "I now see what you really think of us, Scar," Shenzi said, an angry expression on her face.

"But, my friends, I... I..." He was surrounded by hyenas and his screams were cut short.

Zira turned to look at Pride Rock. Oh, the war was not over. She would get her revenge. Even if it meant losing her life.

Simba had to turn away as Scar was torn apart. After his uncle was killed, the hyenas all fled for parts unknown. Simba looked at his family. "It is done," he stated.

Vitani stared at her true evil fathers death, horrifying but he deserved it for what he had done. She spat on the corpse and watched the hyenas run from their kill. Her father was dead, her real brother was dead, yet her evil mother... was still on the prowl. She realized her true family was with Mufasa after all. Simba as her brother, Sarabi as her mother. Mufasa, oh Mufasa, her great father. Who will have a spot in the stars between them all, Ahadi, Mohatu, Uru, Kiloha(Mohatu's mate, name made up). Sarabi by his side, and one day she hoped to join them in the stars, but she still had a great deal of life ahead of her.

Mufasa watched his own flesh and blood brother get murdered. His eyes were filled with horror, his own brother died from what he had become. A single tear came out of Mufasa's left eye. As he walked away, fires around the Pridelands dimming down. The hyenas fled, and his brothers torn corpse was laying. Why did you have to do this Taka? Many tears came from his eyes as he remembered his past.

"Come on Taka! You slow poke!" Cub Mufasa also known as Muffy laughed as he ran ahead of his younger brother Taka. "Maybe. I. Just. Need. A. Little. More. Training." He coughed out, gasping for air as Taka dropped to the ground. Muffy ran over with a young Sarabi, Sarafina, and Zira trotted behind. "Give him a break Muffy, he's been trying to catch us all day, remember he is younger then you." Sarabi noted, with a tone of smarty-pants. Taka re-gained his strength as Muffy turned around. He pounced of the back of his older brother. "Got you!" Taka laughed falling off MUffy's back.

Mufasa stared at the night sky, he saw one small new star. "You have a spot beside mother," Mufasa paused. "Taka." He turned and walked towards Simba, bringing him in for a hug.

Simba embraced his father. "Father, now that Uncle Scar is dead and Aunt Zira has fled, may I marry Nala now?" he asked, hoping that the answer would be yes.

Mufasa looked at his son with loving eyes. "When the Pridelands are well again. When the mud is dried. The ceremony will happen, first thing in the morning. With the most beautiful sunrise." Mufasa answered, smiling as he let go of his son padding towards Nala. " Estimation about a week." He whispered smiling, making a joke. He walked towards Sarabi, his loving wife and nuzzled her. The Pridelands were safe. For now. He stopped and smiled, and jogged towards the start gazing Vitani. "Vitani." He paused, not meaning to scar her. "Would you like a mate?" Mufasa asked awkwardly.

Vitani was taken from her daydream by Mufasa. "Well, maybe. Depends on who though." She answered sadly, he understood her pain, and let her walk into the den to rest after the battle. She never knew her real parents, but when she finally met them. They wanted to kill her, and harm her family. They deserved what they got. A face full of lose, death and insanity. She laid down in the corner of the den, where she heard little cries. Mheetu! Vitani got up and took Mheetu out of the corner. "How you doing buddy! It's okay, mommy is fine. I'm here for you." She brought the young cub close to her, his tears damping her fur. "Wanna go see mom?" She asked, smiling at the terrified cub.
