"Too bad. You have angered her and I'm sure that you will be severely punished for coming into the enemy's territory," Kali continued. He then turned his attention towards Kopa. "I wonder how Zira will react when she hears that you're with this Pridelander scum again," he stated.

Vitani frowned, "He's not a scum. And I'm not going back."

Kali snarled ferociously. "FOOL! YOU WOULD CHOOSE A PRIDELANDER OVER SCAR'S KINGDOM?!" he shouted. His anger was beginning to rise.

Vitani was scared. She also knew that neither she or Kopa were fast enough to out-run any older lion. "Scar's kingdom? It's nothing but... Nothing! And my mother is a horrible one! She doesn't even love me!"

"That doesn't matter. Now, I would advise you to follow me back," he said. Kopa looked at Vitani. "Run, Vitani! If we get back to Pride Rock, we can call my mom and dad," Kopa said as he began to move.

Vitani gulped, "I don't want to go back."

Kali snarled again and prepared to pursue. "Come on, Vitani. If we ran fast enough, we can reach Pride Rock!" Kopa said.

Vitani again gulped. It seemed like the frendlier oppertuniry in following Kali back was no longer available. She looked at Kopa, "I'm right behind you!" she went ahead and started running as fast as she could.

Kopa ran with Vitani, Kali in hot pursuit. Several times, it seemed as if Kali might get them. Finally, they reached Pride Rock. "Mom, Dad, there's a bad lion chasing us!" he shouted at the top of his lungs, hoping that his parents would hear him.

Vitani also yelled, but she could barely hear herself because of how tired she was, "I don't think they can hear us!" all they had to do now was climb to the den.
