Kopa continued the chase. They had the time of their lives. After wearing themselves out, they found themselves looking at the skies above them.

Vitani smiled and lay onto her back next to Kopa, "I never had so much fun before." she said, smiling at how beautiful the skies looked that night.

"I had fun too," Kopa replied. He then looked at the stars. "You know, my dad was telling me that the stars were the great kings of the past looking down on us," he said.

Vitani was about to ask about Scar, but she didn't. He wasn't a great king at all from what she understood. She said, "Is it always cold like this at night?" she asked, looking at Kopa, "My mom never allows me to go outside at such hours..."

"A lot of times it is," Kopa explained. He then looked at Vitani directly, thinking about her mother. "If you're chilly, we can go back to the den," he replied.

Vitani shook her head, "No, we don't have to go back because of me." she said with a smile. She looked up at the skies again and after a few moments shaked a little bit from the cold, but said nothing about it.

"Come on, Vitani. I saw you shake. Let's go. It's warm in the den. Plus, my mom and the other lionesses will be going hunting soon, so there will be food too," Kopa stated. He was determined to protect his new friend at all costs.

Vitani frowned as Kopa wasn't catching on but decided to just drop it, "Hunting during the night?" she asked, confused.

"Yes. According to them, it makes prey easier to catch, as they're very tired," Kopa explained, wondering what she would say next.

Vitani thought about it, "I never thought about it that way..." she waited untill Kopa looked away before shuffling a little closer to him. She was just too cold to notice that she did it though.
