I forgot to mention it, so I will now update it, but Mufasa's kingdom increased to include multiple prides. This effect is mirrored with other prides, where one dominant pride rules over others. Sometimes through mutual agreement, other times by force, but now it is very rare to have a pride to live independently. Think if it as prides are states within a bigger nation. Mufasa in the ruler of his "state" and nation. This is how Ni is ruled by Mufasa, but is still technically in another pride.

This explanation is now embedded in the first general backstory paragraph.

Another question...who are the lions we're going to be fighting against? I'm probably being an idiot and it already says, but yeah...who'll control them?

No, you are not being an idiot. It was in the backstory, but seeing as it's very long, I'll explain here, too:

The African kingdoms are fighting the Asian lion Kingdoms. The battlefield is the small connecting landmass known as the Sinai Peninsula. In a nutshell, it's North vs. South, Africa vs Asia/Europe, African lions vs Asian lions.

There is no true "bad side", but no one really controls the Asian lions - consider them autonomous. The African lions fight them, as the Asian lions fight the African lions, simply because it's a war.

Again, if you want someone to "control" an Asian lion character, you are free to do so. Keep in mind that characters on both sides are nothing more than the common soldier, and will not win the war single-handedly. This by the way makes it easier to include Asian lion characters.

Alright, got it Also, I've finished the topic of WW1 in History and we've also actually finished WW2 so I know what the conditions were like for the soldiers. Although, you might have to water the terrible conditions down a bit, as they were a bit...extreme in WW1 and the trenches

Yes, they will be watered down in these areas:
Machine Guns: non-existent
Planes: also non-existent
Mass numbers: Thousands instead of millions.
Tanks: Wooden, mobile shells. Effectively shields arranged in a box.
Barbed wire: wooden stakes on no-man's land
Guns: non-existent. This war in a more brutal one-on one matter.
Artillery: weaker. Think of catapult-like contraptions. Not the big guns of the World Wars.

What I'm really trying to simulate is the physiological conditions on soldiers and nations that WW1 caused. Not necessarily the war itself.

I think it'll actually be quite interesting and...fun...to be posting as a soldier in the trenches, especially as the conditions in the trenches were appalling It'll definitely be very different to any other RP's

Alright. We have 3 people now, and a few spots have been taken. I added an OC of mine. He is not a Pridelander.

I changed all the unclaimed characters to F.F.A (free for all). This means that until someone comes along and claims them, everyone are free to use them. A F.F.A. character can be controlled by everyone, even in neighboring posts.

I am doing this so that we can "pilot" the RP, and get it started. Maybe, if others see the RP, they might want to join if they like it. I will (or you) take control of untaken characters temporarily as needed to move the RP along. Once they are taken, the person who requested to control them will have full rights, and other people will a\have to relinquish control.

Using this system, do we feel ready to start the RP as a pilot?

Just a an update to get the story along (we don't have to rush it, just so that you know where it will go):
General description for training:

Training: Timon (who has Pumbaa helping him) is tasked with organizing the lions into groups. As meerkats are already good at organization, Mufasa asked them to help out in the training, and teach the lions how to act as one group. Timon's meerkat colony didn't like his attitude, and made him be the one to actually go and train the lions as a sort of punishment - make him leave the colony for a while - Mufasa didn't specify who will go and train the lions. Timon meats Pumbaa while heading to the training camp.

Not yet aware of Hakuna Matata, Timon, wanting to prove himself, adopts a strict no-nonsense attitude, while inside, he's well, Timon.

Other than that, other lions are in charge of training the new recruits on how to fight, how to put on their uniforms, and how to use their equipment. Equipment includes boot-like clothing with a "spade" attached used for digging.

Speaking of uniform: I quickly doodled what the uniforms look like for the two sides. I took an official concept art picture and changed it. Good thing was that it's a teenage Simba, not adult or cub. Anyways, now you know what they look like. Ignore any spelling errors as I din't use a spell checker.
