Kopa squirmed as his mother bathed him. "Yes, we had a great time. I promised that I would be a good king and not let hyenas into the land like Scar did," Kopa said.

Nala chuckled as Kopa began squirming. He was just like his father when he was a cub. "I'm sure you'll be a great king." she said, smiling as she continued giving him a bath.

"I hope so," Kopa answered. He then fell silent for a moment. "Hey Mom, can I go out and play later?" he asked.

"I know so." she smiled and gave her son a big lick across his face. She looked at her mate, who smiled and nodded, telling her that he didn't mind if Kopa went to play for a while. "Sure you can." she released him, "Don't go too far." once he was gone Nala looked at Simba. From the look on his face he realised what he was about to do, "You're going to send Zazu to follow him are you?" Simba nodded. Nala sighed, "Well, make sure he doesn't reveal himself. You know how Kopa can be around Zazu..."

Before anyone could reply, Zazu suddenly swooped down from the nearby tree that he had been resting in. "I am ready to do anything you ask of me," the hornbill said.

Knowing how much his son was like him, Simba looked at the hornbill, "Kopa went to play on his own. Make sure he doesn't go to where he should not go to."

"I will do as you ask, Sire," Zazu replied. He then flew off. Meanwhile, Kopa was heading off for the Outlands. Unbeknownst to him, he would soon meet someone who would be a big part of his life.

In the Outlands right next to the border of the Pridelands and past the lake, a young lioness was playing on her own. Her older brother Nuka was meant to watch her, but he was so stupid that she lost him quite easily like she always did.

Kopa crossed a river on a log, but soon fell off and rolled directly into a golden-furred she-cub with electric blue eyes. He looked at her. "Who are you?" he asked.

Vitani had her back turned hen Kopa rolled directly into her. Annoyed, she got to her feet and looked at the cub, "Who are you?" she never saw him before, and from the looks of him she could figure that he wasn't part of her pride.
