[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

OOC: Ok, I think we're good here. I'm starting to run out of ideas, so I'll move on to the last bit.

Rafiki took Mheetu to the edge of Pride Rock and held him up for all to view. as had been done with the previous cubs. All the animals that had gathered bowed. Shujaa smiled at Sarafina. Simba looked at Nala. "I'm fully aware of that, but it won't be for awhile," he said.

Time had passed once more. Simba grew into an even more handsome adult lion. His red mane was long and magnificent like Mufasa's, and his golden fur was soft and shiny. At the moment, he was engaged in a chase game with Mheetu, who was now an energetic cub. He had also become Simba's little buddy. "I'm going to get you!" Simba exclaimed playfully.

With a playful growl Mheetu crept low in the grass and pounced at Simba biting onto his ear. He growled playfully at the big lion and got caught in Simba's fluffy red mane. Mheetu got a little bigger by now and his body fur was growing in tan like Shujaas. But his paws were light tipped like his mothers and he kept her green eyes. Sitting back in the grass for a moment Shujaa caught his breath, "Simba, am I going to get a mane like you and my dad one day?" he asked curiously messing with his small tuft of dark red fur on top of his head.


Sarafina was down by the watering hole getting her afternoon drink and she watched Simba and Mheetu play for a moment. A smile crossed her face, the lioness forgot how much work it was watching over a cub at times. She enjoyed the free moments when Simba took Mheetu out to run his energy level down. Sarafina slowly made her way back towards Pride rock when she passed Nala in the grass under the tree, "Cat napping when your suppose to be patrolling the grounds? Eh?" she said raising her brow.

Nala yawned and stretched her paws forward, "Leave me alone mother, there is nothing to Patrol." she grumbled. Nala rested her head on her paws and her blue eyes looked to Sarafina.

Shaking her head Sarafina sighed, "Your going to be queen someday and learning these duties are important. Plus you never know whats watching us." she said looking out towards the Pride lands. "Our first rule is our pride and then its our home." she added reclining back by Nala.

Simba smiled. "Of course, Mheetu. You just have to wait until you're my age and then it will be fully grown in," he said as he moved into a more comfortable position. As he waited for the cub to reply, he thought about how it wouldn't be very long until he married Nala. He smiled at the very thought. Nala had been beautiful as an adolescent, but she too had grown up, and now she was absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. "Oh Nala, how I love you..." he said, briefly forgetting that Mheetu was right there.

"Well I need to grow up faster, this being little stuff is no fun." he huffed as he sat down by Simba. Mheetu's face cringed at Nala's name, "My Sister?! EWWW..GROSS! Dont marry her, shes my sister!" he said sourly sticking out his tongue. He rolled onto his belly laughing at the thought of Nala marrying Simba, but his eyes lit up. "Wait if you married my sister, we'd be related." he whispered and smiled. "Thats cool! Lets go find Nala.." he said standing to his paws cheerfully.


Nala rolled her blue eyes at the lecture she received from Sarafina, "Yes mother, I know my duties. I'm just relaxing the Pride lands are quiet." she said looking out towards the land. She kind of awe'd at the beauty of the land and she sighed. "Mother how will I know if I'm ready to be queen?" she asked curiously.

Sarafina smirked at Nalas's question, "It seems we as lions are chosen when we are born. Its a job you learn quickly but I don't think your ever really ready to be a Queen. Plus following in Sarabi's paw prints will be a big step." she added. Sarafina nuzzled Nala's neck softly, "When your time comes you will be great and so will Simba. But for now enjoy yourself." she said softly.

Simba stood up as well. "Let's go," he told his companion. They then began to head towards Nala. When they arrived, he looked at her. "Hey Nala. What's going on?" he asked.

Mheetu tried to keep up with Simba as he stepped a little faster and saw his mom and sister talking. Mheetu ran over to Nala nudged her side with his paws, "Hey mom! Nala guess what!" he said cheerfully. He pushed her side with his paws and felt Sarafina swipe a paw under his belly and pull him close.

"Its time for a bath you dirty cub." she said smirking. Sarafina laid to her belly and began cleaning Mheetu as he tried to wiggle free. She laughed and continued on with his bath.

"Mom, stop..sheesh.." he grumbled as he sat there. His eyes rolled as she licked his head and face finishing up and Mheetu wiggled from her paws. "I'm going to be related to Simba! Isn't that great!" he said smiling big. He tried to fix his matted hair and he grumbled and stepped away from his mother.

"Oh do tell us how Mheetu." Sarafina said smiling. She looked at Simba and nodded approvingly, she knew Mheetu had grown very fond of him.

Trying to keep back a laugh Nala smiled, "Bath time fur ball." she hissed playfully. Nala pulled herself up to her paws and leaned in nuzzling Simba, "So you and Mheetu are going to be related. Sounds like fun." she said smiling.

Mheetu stuck his tongue out at Nala, "Shut up.." he growled annoyed.

"Mheetu..." Sarafina said softly pulling her son close and hugging him. "Be good now and run along with your sister and Simba. I'll go patrol the outside of the Pride lands." she said winking at Nala. Sarafina padded away from the small group and headed out to patrol near the gorge.

Nala smiled and looked to Simba and Mheetu, "Well..what shall we do today?" she asked curiously.

"Well, I guess we could go for a little walk through the Pridelands. Just let me go and invite Vitani. I wouldn't want her to miss out," Simba said. It was true. he never wanted his sister to miss out on the fun. Simba, Nala and Vitani had always been a group, and now that trio had grown into a quartet.

"Nuka!" "Yes, father." "Come here." Nuka noticed that his claws were extended, as were his mother's. Scar swiped and slashed at Nuka, and Zira was biting. "What... are... you... doing?" He asked between each labored breath. "It's all part of the plan." Zira replied. They continued to wound him until he slumped to the ground. "When he comes to, tell him the plan." Scar said.

Before long, Nuka did come to. He was enraged, but after being told the plan, his bared teeth turned into a grin. He took off to the Pridelands. There he saw Simba and a little cub playing together. Wounded as he was, he managed to make it to where Simba could see him. He hoped Simba noticed the wounds before he collapsed.

Simba turned to see a strange shape "Stay right here," he told Nala and Mheetu. He then went to get a closer look. It was Nuka, and he was covered with wounds. "What are you doing here in the Pridelands?" Simba asked, remembering when Nuka attacked him during his adolescence.

"My parents... they attacked me..." he said from his uncomfortable spot on the ground. "Don't want me anymore. Need a home." He hoped the lion standing over him would believe this. He wasn't gullible, but this was Scar's master plan. How could it fail?
