"It's great, Dad!" Kopa exclaimed. The walk continued, and the cub listened intently to his father. "Dad, how come the land died when Scar ruled it?" he asked.

Simba tried to think of how he should explain this, "He allowed the hyenas to run around and do everything they want. Remember what I told you about the circle of life? The animals respect the fact that we must hunt them, while the king solves conflicts they come across. Also some of our part was to keep the hyenas out of the lands. Once they were in here, along with Scar being the horrible king he was, the animals had no choice but to leave."

Kopa thought about this for a second. "Well, I promise that I'll never let any hyena into these lands. These lands will stay the way they are," he stated, a look of extreme confidence on his face.

Simba couldn't help but smile at his son's confidence, "I'm sure you wont. Besides, the hyenas fled a long time ago."

"Good. That's the way it's going to stay," Kopa declared. He continued looking around. "Is there anything else to see?" he asked.

Simba said, "Well I've shown you all the important locations already." he however smiled at his son, "I can come with you somewhere else if you'd like to."

"I think I've seen everything. We can go home if you want," Kopa said. He was eager to see his mother Nala and tell her about everything he had seen. He also wanted to put his plan to visit the Outlands into motion.

Simba smiled and nodded at his son, "Let us head back then." he began leading the way back to Pride Rock.

Kopa followed his father home. He then began looking for Nala and was happy to find her resting on a rock. He ran over and nuzzled her. "Hey Mom, Dad showed me the Pridelands!" he stated.

Nala smiled as her son showed up, "Did you have a good time?" she took the oppertunity of Kopa being so close to grab him and give him a bath. Simba just sat next to his mate and said nothing.
