Yes it is for more ''spammy posts'', but it doesn't mean that it's for typing nonsense. Bringing the post count into those forums means that people might actually post more there,because they're not discouraged by the fact that it doesn't increase their post count.
Sure, people like that might be spammers,but at the end,making spammers post in the arcade will prove beneficial for them not posting spam as much in the TLK forum and by that,get it back on it's feet.

Yes, which is exactly why I like that the Staff decided to enable post counts in those areas again, it's more benificial to allow them to have their way in the Arcade, so TLK forums won't be all spammy. At this point, it's hardly even a section of the board I want to post in. =/

Yeah, this should just be more of a temporary solution. To be honest, I think I'd be better just to take away post counts. That way, there'd be nothing to complain about. Like, does it really matter that much the number of posts you made? I've been seeing these post counts since I joined my first forum when I was 12... I'm 17 now, and really don't care about them anymore. All in all, this is just an internet forum, and should be treated as such. People should just be happy we don't have to pay in order to get on here, because a lot of forums make it exclusive to only people who are willing to pay money.

Personally, I believe that completely taking away the post counts would solve all the spam problems. I don't see any downside to this, why would anyone want to know how high their post count is?

Exactly. There might a bit of a crapstorm at first, but people will eventually see why it's better for this forum. And yeah, it would solve the spam problems, and I agree that I don't know why anyone would really even care about how high their post count is. Really, with the Karma system, and the post count taken out, this forum would be nice, because people would try to be more productive in order to get good karma.
