If Not Scar, Who?

Okay, you may think this is a TLK1 topic, but no, its in its rightful place ^_^
To Mods: If this is a duplicate topic, I apologize and feel free to lock it. I wouldn't know because I haven't been browsing this forum for a while O_o

Okay, I was looking through Capricornfox's gallery over on TLKFAA (cuz I'm a fan ^_^) And I found this:

Anyway, it says that a person who helped in the making of SP said that Scar wasn't Nuka's father O_o

So what do you guys think of this? I was shocked: If not Scar, who?

I think it was a rogue...because Mufasa would be just weird and it clearly wasn't Scar (apparently).

So, what do you think ^-^

You have to treat stuff like this as opinion. It's an official source that goes through a fan, which means the fan could alter that source in way they wish (or make it up entirely). There just aren't that many ways to prove something like this and even so, it's still the belief of one individual that was working on the movie.

The most accepted answer to the question of Vitani and Nuka's father is: We don't know.

There are physical similarities between Nuka and Scar, but that might simply be because the Outsider models were based upon Scar's design (the "Outsider" nose model, and other similarities). There's also the line where Nuka says "Scar wasn't even his father... he just took him in." which in some ways implies that Scar is Nuka's father and that Nuka is jealous because his father chose another cub over his own son. But there's also the line when Zira says "You killed your own brother!" which sort of implies that Kovu and Nuka might have had the same father: A rogue. (Of course, most people substitute step-brother for brother, so this isn't solid proof either).

So it's one of those things that can't really be proven either way and it has to be left to fans to decide for themselves. So it will be interesting to see the results of this poll.

Personally, I believe Nuka is Scar's son, being old enough where it would actually make sense that he is Scar's son. And then I believe Vitani and Kovu had a rogue for a father and came from the same litter, being the same age.

I don't want to sound mean, but there is really no proof the director even said that. As much as I like Capricornfox (I'm a huuuge fan lol) her story could have been completely made up. Just saying, I'd be more than willing to participate in this discussion if I had solid proof that according to the director of SP, Nuka is not Scar's son.

Agreed. As much as I like the idea of Nuka and Vitani being Scar's children, we'll never know.

Yeah, I guess this will be interesting. Now, if only I could decide on what to choose xD

So, I guess I'll stick with my original beleif in Scar being Nuka's father.
I guess I just trusted Capricornfox's claim (even if it does seem a bit sketchy...)

Lol, that doesn't sound mean. I understand. I'd like to know if it was true or not but...we may never know. I'd like more evidence too but its just a claim. I feel that this topic can still be interesting though ^_^

That is how I've always seen it, that is why I voted for Scar being Nuka's father. It sounds to me like whomever the storyboard artist is he/she misunderstood the question and confused Nuka with Kovu.

As for Vitani I originally thought her to be Scar's daughter, although she never even mentions Scar at all so I have my doubts.

I've always thought that Vitani and Nuka were the children of Scar. And I voted for the Scar being Nuka's father option anyway ^_^

I've always been of the opinion that Nuka WAS the son of Scar. Vitani and Kovu are likely litter-mates, and Scar was NOT the father. Hence, why Nuka is so upset with Kovu being Scar's adopted heir, and the line "Scar wasn't even his father. He just took him in." Of course, if Nuka was the offspring of Scar, he would have a reason to be so jealous of his younger half-brother.

^^ Probably a random rogue if it wasn't Scar. And I would say that the rogue would have had to have been a dead ringer for Scar. Especially if that same rogue fathered all three cubs. I mean, we can safely assume that whoever fathered Kovu was a dead ringer for Scar - the coloring and the features, even the eyes are all a Scar-clone, if better muscled.
