Vitani

I've been asking myself the same question ^ I mean they even look alike to me..

I don't know if this has been discussed in this topic before, but this is something that has confused me...

Why are there people who doubt Vitani's parenthood and claim that Vitani is not related to Zira in any way? It's a theory that's apparently steadily gaining popularity, but I have never seen any reason to doubt that Zira is Vitani's mother, so I'd like to hear some reasoning behind this oO

Well, I have three SP books. In two of them, Vitani and Nuka are said to be just Zira's minions, not cubs. One of them even claims that Zira wants Vitani to be Kovu's queen. The text is in Finnish, and I don't know what the original text says...

Those books were the only reason why I started thinking of what if Zira wasn't Vitani's mother. I do believe she is though.

Simba tells Nala to find Sarabi and the other lioness'. I always filled up that hole by imagening Nala and no one else either just chose not to alarm Zira about Simba's return, knowing she'd fight for Scar because of her own son having been chosen as the next king so she could not allow Simba to be back and because she probably was a Scar fangirl already--or perhaps they didn't alarm Zira because she had such young cubs as Kovu and Vitani to take care of and somebody had to stay and watch over them. Zira cuold've also been out hunting or somewhere far away with her cub so that they didn't even find her. It doesn't take long for the lionmess' to appear at the scene so Nala apparently didn't search too wide area.

You actually agree with my theory??!! I thought you were going to start poking holes in it And then I think Zira was found in the pridelands mourning by Scar's dead body. Simba approached her and she tried to attack him. Knowing this and that she was one of Scar's heir, she was exiled. I think her exile had nothing to do with Kopa.

I've always advocated a theory that Scar divided up the lionesses into separate hunting parties, which he refers to when he is chastising Sarabi for not leading her hunting party to find food. It is therefore my theory that Zira lead another hunting party that was comprised of Scar loyalists and therefore, away from Pride Rock when Simba returned. I've always thought that once Zira's hunting party returned and heard about what happened, the Pride Lands devolved into a civil war between factions loyal to both Simba and Zira. What do you guys think? lol

Vitani is different from all of the other lionesses and that's what I like most about her.

Vitani is a quite unique lioness character in the TLK universe, I like that she stands out and is a strong contrast to Kiara. It creates an interesting dynamic.

I love the design of her eyes. Also, I love the way she changes at the end and goes to her brother's side.

Vitani was so cute as a cub I believe they should have let Vitani look better when she grew up and less like Zira. She has a cute personality as a cub always wanting to fight her brothers and when she said "Testify" in my lullaby oh my gosh she was so adorable

Vitani gave me the inspiration to create a really great lioness for my story, that my cousins love so much!
