[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

Shujaa came over to where Sarafina had pinned the gazelle. He opened his mouth and bit into the animal's throat, killing it swiftly. He looked at his mate. "Our meal is ready," he stated proudly.

"Wonderful.." she said softly purring to him. she nuzzeled him and looked up at Priderock, "Hurry Shujaa. Lets take the dinner back and announce the good news." she smirked. The lioness made her way back up towards Priderock, her green eyes looked to the other lionesses and she smiled. Sarafina was feeling good and she looked to Shujaa who was carrying the gazelle.

Shujaa followed his mate home. When they arrived, he dropped the gazelle to the ground. By now, the others were starting to gather. "Well, everyone, we have dinner and an announcement," he began, looking to Sarafina to make the actual announcement.

Sarafina smirked and nuzzeled Shujaa, "Me and Shujaa are expecting another cub." she stated proudly. Her forepaw rubbed over her belly and she looked to the gazelle, "That was my last hunt for a little bit, so eat up!" she said smiling. The lioness pulled off a chunk of meat for her and Shujaa and she dropped it by his paws. "Congradulations." she added.

"Wow, that's great," Simba exclaimed. There hadn't been another cub at Pride Rock since Simba, Nala and Vitani had grown. For a brief moment, Simba allowed himself to think of what the new cub might be like before coming back to reality. He then noticed Nala and Vitani's absence. "Hey, shouldn't we go and find 'Tani and tell her the good news too?" he asked.

Mufasa stood tall. "Let this cub's birth be recognized!" He said smiling proudly. He roared loudly as a signal the pride should too.

Vitani didn't notice Nala was around until she was right beside her. "N-Nala, Mufasa isn't my real dad!" She cried louder. Wiping tears off her cheeks.

Nala sat beside Vitani and she sighed, "It doesn't matter who your real parents are. Your part of our pride, we all love you." Nala spoke softly. Frowning Nala looked at Vitani, "Nothing will change the fact that we are bestfriends or that you and Simba are siblings." she added and nuzzeled Vitani. "Everyone is looking for you, lets make our way back." she added pulling herself to her paws.


Sarafina looked to Simba, "Thank you." she said softly. Sarafina bent her head down and ripped off a chunk of meat and slowly devoured it. Feeling a bit tired, she laid down to her belly. Sarafina looked to Simba, "Nala, went to go get her." she answered.

"Ok. I can't wait to tell her. Maybe it'll help her feel better. She seemed sad earlier," Simba replied. As his wait began, Simba wondered why his uncle and aunt would want to kill him, and why his father had never told him and Vitani about them earlier. In any case, he was excited to tell his sister about the coming cub.

"Nuka, I hear from a wandering bird," Scar said, brushing feathers off of the ground, "That there is... great news... in the Pridelands. Confirm this, and maybe bring in a kill." He emphasized kill. Nuka nodded. "Father, I will do my best," And he headed off into the Pridelands.

Simba was busy eating and also wondering where Vitani was. She was missing out on this gazelle meat. "Hopefully, Nala brings her back soon," he said to himself.
