Annabeth shook her head, "How would I know?" Kirby just coughed up blood. "Cowards." He tried to shake Kodi awake. "Kodi! KODI! Look buddy I have gone through a hard time too."

Aleu shrugged, "Well I don't know." Meanwhile there was no reply from Kodi. The wolves couldn't hold themselves from laughing.

Kirby said, "Yeah go ahead and laugh. Bullies and wimps are very good at that." He kicked Kodi in the head. "Kodi! Wake up!" Annabeth said, "Do you know where that wolf went?"

Kodi still didn't wake up, but you could tell he was breathing. Aleu shook her head, "Not really. She just dissapeared while we were running from Steele."

Annabeth said, "Well that really does not help." Kirby did something utterly rediculous. "Kodi. It's me Annabeth. Look at the pups we have together. We are now a big, happy family."

Aleu said, "Maybe if we just started looking we'll get lucky?" Kodi in his dizzy state thought that it really was Annabeth speaking to him. He suddenly put his arms around Kirby. Lucky for him he couldn't see what he was doing.

Kirby immediately knocked Kodi's arm off and coughed. "Yes Kodi now go ahead and get up Kodi. Come on I am your mate and I know you are strong. Get UP!" Annabeth nodded and looked around. "I see nothing and smell nothing."

Kodi's arm reached out trying to find the source to Annabeth's voice. Aleu said, "Maybe walking around and trying to catch onto his scent?"

Annabeth nodded. "If we can find it. He is a master on making sure you lose it." Kirby backed up and said, "Get up my...darling."
