Steele said, "Well I'm better than her."

The wolves laughed, "No you're not. And we will never follow a dog." None of them liked Steele, and now they had a reason to finally get rid of him.

Steele said, "Oh you'll learn to like me eventually. What are you going to do? Kill me?" He just laughed and Annabeth decided to ease the tension, "He has a right to speak. Let's keep going."

The wolves just ignored Steele. If Annabeth wouldn't let them kill the pest, then Luo will.

(What can I say...arrogant. But make no mistake he still has a few tricks up his sleeve if Luo does decide to kill him.)

Annabeth continued going until finally they were in site of the cave. "There it is."

The wolves could see Luo outside of the cave. They were all interested in where he had gone to but none of them asked.

Annabeth went ahead and announced it. "Father I have brought these lowly pests of Balto to you as a gift. You have no idea how long it took to get them father but they are yours."

Luo looked at his daughter, "Finally." he growled when he looked at Kodi but soon stopped. "During less than half of the time it took all of you to do that..." he went over to the cave and looked at Jenna who was inside, "You comfortable in there darling?" he laughed.

Steele just shook his head. "You're a good, rotten liar Luo. Your daughter has promised me safe passage. Did you lie about that as well?" Jenna just looked at Steele, "You're in on this?! I should have known!" Annabeth said, "Father all that is left now is Balto. One of Kodi's friends escaped however and a wolf is helping them."
