[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

"What about her?" Simba asked as he walked with his father. He understood that Vitani had just gone through a hard time, but he didn't know why their father was telling him something about her.

[Songo]

Nala nodded to Mufasa's orders and padded away towards the lion's dens looking for Vitani, "Vitani...are you okay?" Nala whispered into the dark den hoping to get a response. The lioness paused for a moment and listened closely, she stepped to the ledge and looked over the Pridelands. She wondered where Vitani ran off too, Nala limped along the rocky path calling for Vitani, "Tani...Tani!"


Sarafina looked to Shujaa, "She did take it atleast a little better then I expected." she said with a smile. Sarafina slowly crouched in the grass, she let herself get entangled in its blades. Feeling the breeze she looked for signs of antelope or gazelle, "See anything Shujaa?" she asked curiously.

Shujaa scanned the savannah and saw some gazelle in the distance. "There's some gazelle over there in the distance," he whispered to Sarafina.

Sarafina nodded and her green eyes noticed the herd, "The one on the right seems to be limping...do you see it." she spoke in a hushed tone. The lioness stayed low to the ground and crept past Shujaa, "Split up...attack when you see me jump for it." she added. One thing Sarafina found so refreshing was the tactics to preform a good kill. She enjoyed the cat and mouse game she played with her food, the hunt made it all more exciting. Moving quickly the lioness bounded from the grass that kept her hidden, her slender figure picking up speed. Flashing her claws she quickly chased after the frightened gazelle.

Shujaa nodded and began stalking, trying to stay hidden as much as his large size and his mane would allow. He was determined to help Sarafina make a kill.

Meanwhile, Simba looked at Mufasa, who had not yet answered his first question. "Dad, what are you going to tell me about Vitani?" he asked, wondering what the king had to say about his sister.

[Kopalover]

Mufasa frowned. "She's not your real sister. She was adopted by me and Sarabi." He paused and looked into Simba's eyes. "I should have told you sooner son." He said with a huge frown on his face.

Vitani was in the Pridelands, in an enclosed den. Only her and Nala knew about.

*FlashBack*

Two cubs were running. Vitani and Nala. "You'll never catch me!" Nala yelled still running with Vitani as a slow cub Simba ran behind. "Nala, this way! I have a secret place!" She whispered to Nala. As both cubs ran to to left as Simba did a face place and yelled something the two cub lionesses couldn't make out. They laughed as they leaped into the small underground den built for two full-grown lionesses. They quieted down as Simba ran past without noticing them.

Vitani wept as she remembered her past, not knowing she was born into evil.

Simba was shocked to hear this. He tried to wrap his mind around it. "Where did you find her then?" he asked, wondering where Vitani had truly come from.

"He came from your Aunt Zira and Uncle Scar." He paused cringing at their names. "They were planning to kill you, and I couldn't let newborn Vitani be endangered by the hyenas from the Elephant Graveyard." He said, dropping his head.

"I think I understand, Father. However, Vitani is and will always be a Pridelander to me," Simba stated. Despite the sibling squabbles that he Vitani sometimes found themselves in, Simba couldn't possibly imagine life without her. She had always been in his life.

Nala couldn't find Vitani at Priderock and quickly padded down the rocky path, one last spot to look. Her blue eye's looked for the den and she slowly crept closer. "Tani..Are you in there?" Nala whispered as she stepped into view of the den's opening. Nala heard Vitani cry and she put her forepaw on Vitani's back, "Whats going on? You can tell me.." she said softly to her best friend.


Sarafina chased the gazelle towards Shujaa so he could help corner the frieghtened animal. Sarafina jumped and planted her claws into the gazelle's side locking them into the animal's flesh. Letting out a mighty roar she ripped the gazelle off its hooves,waiting for Shujaa to finish the hunt.
