The wolves nodded. One of them placed Kodi on his back and the other placed Kirby. A wolf was about to do the same with Aleu but she growled and said, "I can walk on my own, thank you very much." her tone was nothing if not sarcastic.

Annabeth just laughed, "We'll see how arrogant you are Aleu after you experience what I have experienced. And after Luo tortures you enough Aleu you will tell him everything and even tell him to kill Kirby just to make the pain stop." Steele just laughed, "I can't wait to see this."

Aleu just ignored Steele knowing that Luo wouldn't need him much longer and that he would at least be out of here sight once he didn't. That was one cheerful thought.

Annabeth then said, "Oh and Aleu I'll make sure that you and Kirby will have nothing to pass on..." She laughed and said, "Come on." She looked at the wolves, "Luo is getting older..."

The wolves nodded and followed Annabeth.

Annabeth growled at that they didn't get what she meant. "He is of the past. I am of the future. He is blinded by his hatred. I am a strong, young leader who can be cruel as well. I can make sure you never go hungry again and get you out of the rathole of your existence."

The wolves looked at her with a raised eyebrow. It might be hard for someone from the outside to notice, but Luo was actually a really good leader, despite how cruel and hatred-blinded he was. "Do we look hungry to you?"

Annabeth said, "Listen aren't you tired of following that old fool around like a bunch of robots?!" She then said, "He will pass away soon anyway and you will be forced to follow me!" She then said, "Just think of it as being merciful. I am sure he is in a lot of pain. We will of course still kill Balto and his family but Luo doesn't have to be a part of it."

The wolves didn't seem to like that idea. As cruel as they all were, they were loyal. "We will follow you when he decides that you're the leader or passes away." they hoped that she understood that it meant she should do herself a favor and wait.

Annabeth however despised of the feeling to wait but only smiled, "Of course my loyal zombies." She laughed and looked at them again, "Now when we do reach Luo we will give him everything and then I will ask for mercy to be accepted back into the pack. I will be close to my father again! I will hear his praises like I used to and not his curses and torments!"
