Hi there, I'm sorry to hear this. I thank God that I have both of my parents with me and that they love me. I know it's hard, but try to get yourself out of the depression, I understand how you must feel. But it's like TheIvanMuse says "you should still appreciate the ones you have in your life, because they are your family and the ones that love you". Remember that family is not blood, is heart. Yu didn't need to confess hat to us:). It's not like you did somehow bad by telling us your father was dead. We don't have any right to know anything aside from what you want us to know. Though it is brave of you to confess what you thought was important!

I'm just wondering: how do you know your dad didn't love you? Do you remember him? Reason I ask is because I have a friend whose mum was very hurt in a relationship, but she also lied about my friend's father and made him out to be worse than he is. So the girl was made to believe her father didn't love her. Later though, she tracked him down, and he was so happy to see her he cried! Not saying that every story will end like that but if it's been ten years, your father may have gotten off the drugs and may be interested informing a relationship with you. Maybe. It might be worthwhile that you do some research yourself, especially if his is something that has given you depression. I'll be praying for you though, that you have a happy reunion with him one day, and that in the mean time, you feel better and get the help you need.

Im really sorry to hear of all of this :c But you shouldn't be ashamed of not telling everyone the truth. The cool thing is that you decided to tell all of us of your hard times and thats a really tough thing to do. As people have said before, we are all friends here on mlk and you can confide in us.

I'm sorry to hear this. I do not understand how you feel, and I will not lie about it. But in time, you will overcome this troubling feeling. Depression is only an emotion. It doesn't have to control you. To quote someone you know very well, "We all have dreams, make them come true".
