Balozi lay outside of the den, keeping watch over the entrance. After a while, he noticed Dafina as she left their den and sat down next to him. How's Giza? he asked. The past few days, Giza slowly regained some strength, but he was still very weak. Do you think that he's ready to move to another den? If Giza is able moving to another den that Balozi found closer to the river would make life a little easier. But moving itself was the hard part. However, looking at Dafina's happy face, he could tell right away that Giza had improved a lot. I guess that the answer is a yes.

Then Balozi explained another reason why he wanted to move. I've spotted the lion again. He wanders the area a lot, but tends to stay closer to here than the river. The sooner we move, the better.

Dafina nodded and listened. "Yes, I agree, shall we be off then?" she asked. "I'll go and fetch Giza and tell him anyway". Dafina padded back to Giza, "Hey, we are moving" she said with a smile, she went down and picked him up by the scruff, "You'll be walking most of the way, but I'm carrying you to Balozi for a minute".

Dafina brought Giza up to where Balozi sat, waiting for them. Balozi looked over the two of them Giza looked uncertain but hopeful. Dafina, determined.

Mentally replaying the path to get to the new den, Balozi stood up. It's going to be a long and hard walk. But when we get to the new den, it'll be worth it. The den's closer to the river, and it's bigger and more comfortable. Ready? Dafina just barely nodded, in order to not move Giza too much, but then lowered him to the ground.. Balozi smiled. Alright then, let's go.

Together, the three of them set off for their new home. Giza insisted that he walk, instead of being carried. Balozi lowered his head to Giza's level. If you get tired, I can carry you. Giza shook his head, causing Balozi to chuckle lightly.

The three lions headed east, towards their new home. Balozi looked upwards at the morning sun, only to regretted it. The sun was beautiful, granted, but it hurt incredibly to look at.

Even though it was a short walk for an adult lion, for Giza, it would be an accomplishment. But now, Balozi, Dafina, and Giza, they were homeward bound.
