If anyone saw the first season of Big Cat Diaries, Simba's pride (real life, the male lion was called Simba

) had a few adult females, one male (Simba), and about SIXTEEN cubs. But in real life, much less cubs survive into adulthood as in the Lion King, and the pride featured in Big Cat Diaries is one of the biggest in the world. But I am guessing that due to the cub-killing nature of real life males, all of those cubs in the pride were Simba's.
And I think that we can apply at least some parallelism between real life and the Lion King, which means that really, only Mufasa and Scar (maybe a rogue, or a cub brought in from the outside) would be required to have all th cubs.
