[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

Nala was sitting by her mother's side when she heard the voices of Simba and Nuka. A smile crossed her furry lips and she looked to Sarafina, "Mom, can I go see Simba and Nuka? Please?" she asked standing to her paws. Nala's ears went forward when she saw her mom nodd in approvement and she bounded over the rocks to find them. "Simba? What are you two doing?" Nala asked curiously as she approached the two young lions. Her blue eyes looked to Simba and then back to Nuka, "Still playing cub games I see." she laughed.


Sarafina watched Nala head in the direction of the two young lions and she smiled to Shujaa. " She is beautiful and so outgoing. Well Shujaa, we did a excellent job." she whispered nuzzling him. She rested her head on his shoulder as they finished watching the sunrise, "Her first hunt is soon, im excited for her. I hope she uses all the tricks I taught her." she added. Sarafina could remember taking Nala into the Pridelands to practice her pouncing and attacking. They use to run after the zebra to keep their speed up, she knew she taught her well.

Shujaa smiled. "I can't wait to see her go on her first hunt. I'm sure that she and Princess Vitani will make a formidable team," he stated. He allowed himself to imagine that day. It would be one of the happiest days of his life.

Meanwhile, Simba looked straight at Nala. "This isn't a cub game, Nala. Nuka just attacked me," he explained. He was still angry, but tried to calm himself. The last thing he wanted to do was lose his temper in front of the lioness of his dreams.

Sarafina nodded, "They will be a good team aslong as they remember their training." she said with laugh. Sarafina stood to her paws and stretched her body forward before turning to Shujaa. "Shall we go to the watering hole? I dont think well see Nala for a while." she said. Sarafina playfulled nudged Shujaa and made her way down the rocky path.

Nala panicked and let out growl at Nuka and stood by Simba's side, "Why Nuka? We all accepted you into the Pride." she said sadly. Her blue eyes looked at Nuka and she shook her head before looking to Simba, "Should I call for Mufasa?" she asked him.

"Yes, Nala. Call my father. He needs to know what happened," Simba replied. Even now, he couldn't believe that Nuka had just done what he had done. He was sure that his father would be furious with Nuka for this incident.

[Songo]

Nala quickly nodded and leapt onto the rocks towards the lion's den, "Mufasa! Mufasa! Simba needs you...quick hurry.." she said out of breath. The light colored lioness looked into the den at the other lionesses sleeping, "Wake up everyone!" she growled slighty. Nala went back down the rocky path towards Simba and Nuka, out of breath she stood there waiting.

Simba saw his father coming. "Father, Nuka attacked me. It wasn't a game we were playing," the prince explained. After he finished speaking, he waited for his father to respond.

"Tell me the entire story, son!" Mufasa voice rumbled. His angry muscles twitched. His fiery red eyes stared at Nuka. "And Don't leave a THING that happened out!" Mufasa growled, still staring down the quivering Nuka.

Vitani watched the entire thing from a distance, so she wouldn't get attacked. She never knew her father could be so tough and angry. Her hair tuft kept getting in her eyes, as it grew just as she did. (Unlike in the SP movie) her body was built, and tough, not skinny and weak.

"Don't try to lie, Nuka. My father won't accept it," Simba stated, waiting for his father to reply. He wondered what Mufasa would do to Nuka once the truth was out. Most likely, Simba thought, Nuka would be sent back to the area where he had been found. An attack on the king's son and heir was an unforgivable offense and anyone who did so would pay dearly.

Nala heard Mufasa's voice and she stepped back letting the King speak. She watched Nuka stumble over his words and then she noticed Vitani watching from above. Nala quickly stood to her paws and made her way towards Vitani, "Tani, Nuka tried to attack Simba." she whispered. Her blue eyes watched the scene closely.
