"I really don't know. It's just something that's happened. We're all used to it," Simba stated. Just as he finished speaking, he found his mind wandering to thoughts of Nala. She had become a beautiful young lioness, and Simba was starting to like her in a "more-than-friends" way. The thoughts preoccupied his mind so much that he forgot that Nuka was with him.

"But there's something about it," said Nuka, trying to make Simba focus, "It's not right." he walked up to it and poked it. His paw wouldn't come out.

Simba finally snapped back to reality. "That's weird. I've never seen that before," he said. Simba then used all of his newly developed muscles to pull Nuka free. "I'm sorry, Nuka. I was just thinking of Nala. I'm falling in love with her," he explained.

"You what?" Love was really a touchy topic for Nuka. No one seemed to like him as much as the future king. He couldn't love Vitani-- they were siblings. And Simba was betrothed to Nala. Who could love him?

"I'm in love with Nala. When we were cubs, the thought of being in love didn't appeal to either of us. Now things have changed. I'm sure my parents will be very happy. I've got to tell Nala too," Simba explained, his eyes never leaving Nuka. Oh how he couldn't wait to tell Nala and see how she reacted. He also looked forward to telling his family, although he knew that Vitani would probably tease him playfully over this.

"Yeah. I'm sure they'll all be happy. But just one last thing."

"What is it, Nuka?" Simba asked, wondering what Nuka could be talking about.

Nuka jumped at Simba, claws outstretched. Although Simba was his friend, he hadn't forgotten his mission.

Simba was taken by surprise, but was able to push Nuka back. "What was that for?!" Simba shouted, his eyes glaring in anger. He took a deep breath in an attempt to calm himself.
