Steele then said, "Hopefully Luo will not dally too long for the forest is starting to become strange..."

Kodi wondered what did Steele mean by that, but he didn't care too much to actually ask or let it show. The female wolf meanwhile went back to where Luo's pack usually stayed. Nobody was there beside Annabeth and the wolf he stayed to watch her.

Steele looked at Kodi and said, "No one to rescue you hero. Your mate is lost and the rest of your friends will not survive. There is no escape. Your mate will die as will your friends."

Kodi again said nothing. The female wolf meanwhile rolled her eyes. The guard had his back turned, making it simply too easy. It was over pretty much before it even started and the wolf then looked down at Annabeth.

Annabeth said nothing but then noticed a female wolf. "What do you want?" she grumbled.

The wolf looked at the dead guard for a second and then back at Annabeth, but she didn't say anything.

The wolf said, "Are you going to come with me or not?" she gestured at the dead wolf.
