Giza was still a little dizzy. He really didn't have much of an idea of what was going around him. He felt himself being picked up and then placed back down. He could tell by the warmth from Dafina's body that he was really close to whatever that had picked him. After a few moments he somehow felt the taste of milk in his mouth. He just lay there and slowly suckled. He wasn't sure what happened, but after a while of having milk he again went unconscious. When he woke up again his head no longer hurt and he wasn't hungry. He slowly looked up and finally saw the lioness who took him in. He just lay there silently and stared at her. She was a complete stranger, but for some reason he felt safe in her arms.

Balozi looked at the sleeping form of Giza. To take care of the cub would be one of the hardest things he ever did. It will require a huge commitment and a change of lifestyle. He saw in his sister's eyes that she was ready. But was he ready?

Balozi told his sister softly, in order not to wake Giza. We will need to find a den. A reliable source of pray and a close supply of water. He paused a little before making his point. We will need to settle down and live as a pride. Just the two of us and him. You believe will will manage? He looked at his sister, waiting for a reply.

Vahvuus continued to walk aimlessly around the land, not really caring where he ended up at the moment. Maybe hunting would ease his mind a bit. It would give him something useful to do rather than simply wandering about under the morning sun. He felt like letting out some energy, anyway. He decided against hunting for the time being, though as Vah didn't even know where the nearest herd of huntable animals was at the moment. He sighed irritably and glanced up at the almost cloudless blue sky, only a few small, nearly unoticable, wisps floated across.

After a second or two, Vah tore himself away from the vast blue expanse and looked in the general direction of his family's den. He scowled at the thought of going back there, but he had made up his mind. He would go back. Vah had nothing better to do at the moment anyway, and he would need to go back at some point...Vah reluctantly turned himself around and began to gradually make his way back to the den. It took him A good while to actually get to where he wanted, but when he did, he stood outside for a couple of seconds before actually making his way inside.

Once inside, Vah noticed that his parents and aunt were still asleep. He rolled his eyes a d just stood there. He should've known they would still be asleep, he always woke up earlier than everyone else. Vah then made his way over to were he usually slept and sat down, sighing a lot louder than he meant to. He quickly silenced himself and waited for somebody to wake up.

Kuchan yawned loudly, awoken by the sigh. "What are you doing boy! Go out and find some grub", he looked over to Amani and Nimu, "And YOU TWO should be out finding MY breakfast to", he shouted. Kuchan arose from the lying position he was in and stretched out, Vah didn't move so he quickly hit him around the head, "Come on! Up and out!".

Meanwhile Dafina and Balozi were talking about the cub. "I am sure I'd be able to raise him, I think I'm ready, and I love him already". She looked down to see Giza's smiling little face, "I think he loves me to" she added happily.

Balozi laughed at his sister's dreamy attitude. We will see how things will go. he said. Looks like he's family now, huh?. Giza certainly did look happy, resting next to Dafina. This suddenly made Balozi feel ridiculous, Dafina had helped Giza, and he had yet to do anything. I'm going to look for some cave or just something that can serve as a den. Holler if you need me. He got up and left, wanting to feel useful.

Vah remained sitting in the den for only a few more seconds, as it seemed that he accidentally did wake everyone up...well, Kuchan anyway. Vah rolled his eyes when his father wasn't looking. Giving orders as soon as you wake up? Who the hell does that? Vah groaned quietly to himself as soon as he was ordered to go out and find some food for Kuchan. Most of the time, Vah couldn't believe Kuchan was actually his father. In fact, Kuchan and Vah were so different that-

Vah was harshly pulled out of his train of thought when he was suddenly struck by Kuchan's paw across the muzzle. The strike was so quick and surprising to Vah that it almost sent him sprawling across the ground. He silently growled and unsheathed his claws as soon as he recovered. The frustration and anger was quickly growing inside him, but Vah was able to contain it, as, if he did actually let out the anger inside of him, that would make him more like Kuchan than he wanted. Vah stood up and made his way outside, not sheathing his claws. "Yes, father." he replied as he passed him, complying with Kuchan's wishes. Oh, how much he wanted just to turn around and kill his 'father' right there and then...

Kuchan noticed the Vah's sudden aggression, he could feel it, as they were father and son. As the young adolescent padded off, he shouted, "Mind what you do and say boy! You don't want to anger me.....".

Meanwhile Dafina had just been laying beside Giza. She was happy that Balozi was being a brilliant 'uncle' figure already. "To bad I didn't have a mate to be the father figure" she said in her mind. Dafina yawned and put her head down for a while.

Balozi wondered the savanna, in search of a good place to serve as a den. He found a few places that, while they will work, were not large or comfortable. So he continued to search. One good thing was that there were plenty of pray animals, and a small river flowed through a valley not far from where they were. If only they could find a den, they would be able to settle.

Strange movement caught his eye and he instinctively lowered his body to the ground. He identified the source of movement. Another lion was stalking in the area. This one looked young, but was a male. Not a good sign.

Forget finding a suitable den, another male lion in the area could cause a lot of trouble. Keeping his eyes on the new lion, Balozi slowly started making his way back to Giza and Dafina. They would have to be warned.

Vah simply ignored Kuchan as he made his way outside. He still didn't sheathe his claws due to the anger that was barely being contained inside him. It was unfortunate that Kuchan didn't know what Vah was thinking because if he could, he'd know that he should be more careful around Vah. He didn't know how long he could stay relatively calm. Soon, though, if Kuchan kept aggravating Vah to the extent he was at the moment...well...Vah didn't even want to think what would happen. He didn't even want to think about when it would happen. When that point in time came, however, Vah knew Kuchan would be pleased. Even if it was him that Vah was taking out his anger on. Kuchan wanted Vah to become more like him, but Vah was determined not to let that happen. Or at least, he was determined to prevent it for as long as possible.

Vah began wandering off in a relatively random direction after exiting the den, he didn't care where because his mind was still fixiated on earlier. He glanced about his surroundings and there was something that immediately caught his eye. Another lion that he had never seen before was running off into the distance. He didn't know if the lion had seen him or nor, but right now, Vah didn't care.

Balozi soon got back and told Dafina what he had seen. "Surely, he can't be that much of a threat!" she replied. "How old did he look roughly?" she asked. Dafina was slightly worried, but staying calm for Giza's and her own sake.

Kuchan had lost his patience with the two females, "AMANI! NIMU! UP!" he bellowed. Both woke with a fright. "Sorry Sir" said Nimu with a yawn. In Kuchan's pride the only one who could call him his name was Amani. She nudged Amani "Come on sister, we must hunt".
