Xiu Fen's gold eyes flashed opened, "The forbidden mountains? But were not allowed there.." she said stepping closer to Tai Shan. "Well anything you can do, I want to do too." she added softly. She looked off the ledge towards the mountains and wondered, "I bet theres something cool over there." she whispered.

"Then let's go. We'll prove to the adults that we're both brave," Tai Shan stated. Little did he know, however, that his father was camouflaged in the dense foliage around them and that he had just heard his son's plan. In his mind, Cheng-Ti determined that he would follow his son from a distance and then appear and bring Tai and Xiu Fen back to the forest. He would also inform the king of Tai's little stunt. Once their plan was made, Tai took off towards the mountains with Xiu Fen.

Xiu Fen looked at Tai Shan, "But thats forbidden..." she mumbled softly. Her gold eyes glanced back to the den where her mother and father lay sleeping. She looked over the ledge and watched Tai Shan go ahead of her. "Wait, im brave too. Lets go!" she said quietly and padded quickly after Tai Shan.

OOC: OK, it's time for NatalieTheLionQueen to make her first post as Bai Jiang and Nitro to post as Ya-Yin and Fen Lan.

The cubs made their way away from the den site and through the forest. Finally, the terrain changed from grass and dirt to snow. A chilly wind swept through the air as Tai Shan and his friend went further. Finally, they stopped in front of the entrance of a large ice cavern. Tai Shan's first thought was to enter it, but he decided not to. Rather, he just wanted to play. "We made it!" he exclaimed. Following that, the two cubs began to play, laughing and playfully teasing each other as they did so.

Inside the ice cavern, a male Snow leopard was awakened by the noise. His name was Jun Kun, and he was nothing less than evil incarnate. Once, he had been Li Bing's first choice to succeed him, but had been caught killing for pleasure, something that was absolutely forbidden for carnivores. For this crime, he had been exiled here to the Forbidden Mountains. It was in this place that he had met his mate and her two sisters. At the moment, he heard the playful laughter and glared angrily. "BAI JIANG!" he shouted to summon his mate.

Both Fen-Lan and Ya-Yin lifted their heads from where they were lying together in a patch of sunlight, warming their spotted coats under the bright sun. They shared a knowing look for what was coming next, and quickly unsheathed their long ebony claws, their own instruments of death, and wet racing back ice cavern they called home. In their haste to assist Jun Kun, Fen Lan tripped over a tree root growing above ground and went sprawling into the center of the hollowed tree it belonged to. Ya-Yin, oblivious to her sister's dilemma, still bolted ahead, not hearing Fen Lan's angry yowls at being left behind in a tiny space filled with bugs, dirt, and a lot of dung from varous unknown animals. "Oh, she's going to get it..." the leopard muttered dangerously, flexing her claws.

Jun Kun waited on his ledge for Bai Jiang and her sisters to arrive on the scene. Finally, Ya-Yin arrived. Strangely, she was alone. "Where are your sisters?" he asked, impatient to have them make the noise stop.

Xiu Fen padded quickly to catch up with Tai Shan, "Whoa...look at how dark it is.." she whispered. The cold breeze ran over her body and caused her to shiver. She noticed how dark the cave was and gulped before speaking, "Are we going in there?" she hoped Tai shan would decline, she didn't want to be brave if she had to go in deeper. She stepped closer to Tai Shan a sudden fear shaking her, she stayed close to him.

Tai Shan didn't want to enter the cave either. "No, I think we should stay out here. Actually, I think we should go home in a few minutes. The grown-ups are probably wondering where we are," he stated.

Little did he know that, inside the cave, Jun Kun was giving instructions to Bai Jiang and her sisters for the demise of the young newcomers.

"Let's go now," Tai Shan said to Xiu Fen. Just as they were about to leave, three female Snow leopards emerged from the cave entrance. They did not look friendly at all. Tai Shan glared at them. "I am Tai Shan, heir to King Li Bing and I demand to know who you are," the cub stated.

Ya-Yin and Fen Lan snarled in unison as they drew closer to the cubs, claws extended as they prepared to carry out Jun Kun's orders.
