You are technically supposed to give Karma (or take away) for good reasons. That is why you add a message explaining why you added the Karma. When I see extreme karmas (+ or -), I will look at what people reasoned for giving the Karma.

If I see that there some member gave or took away pointless Karma, I don't take it seriously. This however takes the point of Karma away.

Exactly, as to my point, it would be a long and tedious process to go trolling on Karma points. I'm not saying that anyone would do that, nor can I see a reason why. REASON has everything to do with it. If you don't have one, it's pointless to try rating someone, that's all I'm saying. I'm not trying to cause a fight. I just think it's stupid to argue about whether or not someone is going spam someone with comments. That road only leads to trouble. I don't want another fiasco. I've been involved in too many to think that my luck will hold.

The Karma system is very good idea and it has been implemented very well to try and reduce trolling. Although trolling on the Karma system is unlikely. There's just no point in it. It's a complete waste of time and people will almost certainly ignore it anyway. If anyone carries on with trolling, they get warnings. Then, eventually, if they don't heed those warnings, they will be banned. Easy.

Anyway, a great idea. It's just a shame that occasionally some random person will come along and troll. (I know nobody who does)

Those wouldn't make sense IMO, newbies won't understand what pride/grub/bug points are.. We need a clearer name.. or we should just leave it as it is, not everything needs to be TLK-ized.
